Bitcoin Upgrade Controversy Resurfaces: Is Someone “Forcing the Script”?

F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun Speaks Out: Bitcoin upgrades shouldn’t be pushed forward like American politicians doing “bundled promotion.” He directly points out that many of the issues currently being discussed are not actually urgent.
For example, “Time Warp Attacks” have existed for a long time but offer miners almost no real benefit; verification efficiency has long been improved through algorithm optimizations and hardware upgrades; and the so-called “faked confirmed transactions” have the prerequisite of breaking double SHA256—once that happens, the security of the entire Bitcoin network would no longer exist.
He believes that, at present, the only issue that may still be worth fixing is the “double-spending” problem. In other words, most upgrade discussions are more about manufacturing talking points rather than solving problems.
