Reports say an American military fighter jet was shot down over Iran, and one crew member was rescued.
ME News update: On April 4 (UTC+8), an Israeli official and another source familiar with the matter told Axios that of the two crew members aboard a U.S. military fighter jet that was shot down over Iran, one has already been found by U.S. special forces and successfully rescued, while the other is still being searched for. Iran is also searching for the two crew members and has called on local civilians to participate in the search. This is the first time since the war began that a U.S. fighter aircraft has been shot down by enemy fire. According to sources, after the F-15 fighter was hit by Iranian fire, both crew members were able to eject and escape. U.S. special forces have located one of the crew members inside Iran and have rescued him alive. (JinTen) (Source: ODAILY)
