Alright guys, I read something interesting about which cryptocurrencies Elon Musk actually owns. Like, the guy isn't just the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, but he's also famous for moving markets with his tweets about crypto. He's called the "Dogefather" for a reason.
First of all, Bitcoin. In 2021, Tesla invested $1.5 billion, and Musk confirmed he still personally owns some. At the current price of $67.02K, Bitcoin remains that store of value he considers the digital gold. Then there's Ethereum at $2.06K, which he revealed he owns during a conference in 2021. I get why — smart contracts and all the DeFi built on top make it essential in the crypto space.
But Musk's true love is Dogecoin. He has never hidden it; in fact, he's promoted DOGE as "the people's cryptocurrency" and has even talked about using it for payments on Tesla and SpaceX. At $0.09 right now, it's not bad considering the low fees and the crazy community behind it.
Then there are rumors about Shiba Inu and Floki Inu — he denied owning SHIB, but his tweets about dog-themed coins have caused real chaos in the market. Floki is literally the name of his Shiba Inu dog. Anyway, the point is that when Musk talks about cryptocurrency, the market listens. What do you think, is it genuine influence or just memes?
