Odaily Planet Daily reports that the derivatives market—Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group)—announced that the average daily trading volume of March cryptocurrency futures contracts reached 210,000 contracts, with a notional value of $7.98 billion, up 19%. Among them, the average daily contract trading volume of micro Bitcoin futures increased 6% to 7,700,000 contracts; the average daily contract volume of Ethereum futures grew 53% to 19,000 contracts. In addition, the overall contracts on the CME platform had an average daily trading volume in March of 41.10 million contracts, setting a new monthly high and up 33% year-over-year; in the first quarter, the average daily trading volume reached 36.20 million contracts, setting a new quarterly high and up 22%.
