ZachXBT once again criticizes Circle for inaction during the Drift hack incident, which allowed stolen funds to flow out of Solana via CCTP.
Odaily Planet Daily reports: The well-known on-chain detective ZachXBT has once again criticized Circle, stating that the Drift hacker incident occurred during US trading hours. Millions of USDC were transferred from Solana to Ethereum via CCTP (Circle’s cross-chain protocol), while Circle remained inactive and took no action. A few days ago, Circle also arbitrarily froze at least 16 enterprise hot wallets, which are still in the process of slowly unfreezing.
ZachXBT concluded by saying: “Circle is the bad actor in this industry.”
