What has always moved the markets is what Elon Musk does or says regarding cryptocurrencies. The tech billionaire has been a central figure in the crypto space for years, capable of moving prices with a simple tweet. But the real question is: which cryptocurrencies does Elon Musk actually own, and why?
Let's start with the obvious. Bitcoin has been part of his portfolio since Tesla announced a massive investment in 2021. Although the company sold most of its holdings, Musk has made it clear that he personally holds BTC. He sees it as digital gold, a store of value in times of uncertainty. Currently, Bitcoin is around $67.87K, and it remains Musk's most serious position in the crypto world.
Then there's Ethereum. During his participation in 'The ₿ Word' a few years ago, he confirmed that he also owns ETH. And it makes sense, considering that Ethereum is the foundation of everything happening in DeFi and NFTs. At $2.07K, it is Elon Musk's second confirmed crypto holding.
But if there's one thing that truly defines Elon Musk in the crypto space, it's his obsession with Dogecoin. He doesn't hide it. He has called DOGE the people's cryptocurrency, suggested that Tesla accept it as payment, and his support has completely transformed the narrative around this coin. Currently, DOGE trades around $0.09, down 0.51% in the last 24 hours. It's his favorite, that's clear.
Now, there's a lot of speculation about other coins. Shiba Inu, for example. Musk has denied owning SHIB, but his tweets about dogs and memes have caused significant movements. Shiba Inu is at 0.00 with a positive move of 0.69%. Floki Inu, named after Musk's Shiba dog, has also received attention, though there's no confirmation that he owns it. Floki is at 0.00 with a 0.93% increase.
What's interesting is that the cryptocurrencies Elon Musk owns reflect his vision of the future. It's not just about speculation or quick gains. Bitcoin represents stored value, Ethereum represents technological innovation, and Dogecoin represents community and accessibility. That is the strategy behind Elon Musk's crypto holdings, and that's why his movements in this space continue to be so relevant to the market.
