In human society, only a minority have ever been truly willing to accumulate knowledge and care about history and culture, while most people are closer to instinct and entertainment. In the past, because literacy rates were low, only the voices of a few were recorded, which made history appear exceptionally refined; today, technology allows everyone to have a voice, and we finally see society as it truly is. Culture has never been an immediate choice of the masses, but rather the result of long-term accumulation by a minority. The value of an era only becomes apparent when viewed through the lens of time.
