Last night I couldn't sleep and suddenly thought that the future world will be very absurd. Many people are unaware that AI is impacting the foundation of traditional education. In the past, knowledge was scarce in traditional education, and good teachers, tutorials, and methods were all limited. But now, ordinary people can have a teacher who is available 24/7 with unlimited patience and allows endless questions. In the past, we learned the systematic framework first and then practiced; now, we can first think about what we want to do, then do it, and learn in reverse through AI, producing and learning simultaneously. Exams, homework, papers, and certificates are essentially: using quantifiable results to infer a person's ability. But now, a person's expressive ability can be outsourced to machines, and the old evaluation systems will gradually fall behind. I even feel that the role of teachers as knowledge transmitters has been replaced; now, only rule-setting and management are needed. Recently, the world of liberal arts students has been very popular, but I think the expressive disciplines within liberal arts will gradually become less effective; some process-oriented sciences in STEM will also slowly collapse; conversely, fields like medicine and law will not be quickly replaced because AI still lacks the ability to take responsibility. In a world where knowledge is almost free, interest, curiosity, execution, and closed-loop capabilities become the most important. People can completely establish a new education system centered around interest and production, which would truly be better than the traditional education chain. Can old humans still compete with new humans?
