According to the announcement, Nifty Gateway has switched to “minting-only mode” as of this launch.
The company stated that Nifty Gateway was launched in 2020 with the vision of transforming digital art and has hosted dozens of innovative NFT launches since then. The statement added, “We are very proud of the work pioneered by the Nifty team and thank the artists and users who have joined us on this journey.”
Users who have USD or ETH balances on the platform, or who own NFTs, will receive instructions via email on how to transfer their assets from the platform.
The platform was particularly popular during the NFT craze of 2020-2021, with numerous NFT collections being published there. However, interest in NFTs has almost completely disappeared recently.
Nifty Gateway was acquired by the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini in 2019.
