Storage chip sector brings good news again. Lianqi Technology recently released its earnings forecast, expecting a net profit of 2.15 billion to 2.35 billion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 52.29% to 66.46%. Non-recurring net profit is also strong, projected to be between 1.92 billion and 2.12 billion yuan, up 53.81% to 69.83% year-on-year.

The logic behind this is quite clear—AI industry trends are influencing the storage chip market. Lianqi Technology explicitly stated in its announcement that the significant increase in interconnect chip shipments is due to strong industry demand driven by AI trends.

Specifically, the penetration of DDR5 memory interface chips is accelerating. By Q3 2025, Lianqi Technology's third-generation DDR5 RCD chips' sales revenue will surpass the second generation for the first time, and the fourth-generation RCD chips will also begin mass shipments. This indicates that technological iteration is speeding up, and product update cycles are shortening.

Interestingly, market forecasts predict that DDR6 memory modules could achieve commercialization around 2029. Although it will still take a few years, industry standards organization JEDEC is already promoting discussions on DDR6 standards. As transmission speeds further increase, DDR6 is expected to require more complex memory interconnect chips, which will undoubtedly expand the market ceiling.

Looking at the overall market, storage chips are entering a golden era. According to the latest report from Omdia, the storage chip market size is expected to grow by about 90% by 2026. The computing and data storage segment will see a year-on-year growth of 41.4%, with total value potentially exceeding $500 billion. What does this signify? The explosion of AI applications is profoundly transforming storage demand.

Fu Xiao, Secretary of the Board of Lianqi Technology, revealed a key insight at the earnings conference: Under the influence of AI industry trends, demand for downstream memory modules is increasing, and the company's memory interconnect chip shipments are positively correlated with global memory module shipments. Simply put, the greater the demand for memory modules, the more popular their products become.

Another important driving force is that AI's demand for memory bandwidth is becoming increasingly extreme. Higher bandwidth requirements directly stimulate the application of new memory interconnect products.

During an institutional survey in Q4 2025, Lianqi Technology provided an outlook: Over the next two years, AI will continue to drive storage demand growth. The ongoing penetration and iteration of DDR5 and its generations will help the company maintain and improve the average selling price and gross margin of its products. Additionally, new products such as PCIe Retimer, MRCD/MDB, CKD, MXC are developing a complete industry ecosystem, with increasing customer recognition. The growth in shipments of these new products will positively impact performance.

In terms of technological progress, Lianqi Technology launched DDR5 second-generation MRCD/MDB chips for customer sampling in January 2025. These products support speeds of 12800MT/s, representing a 45% improvement over the first-generation MRDIMM and doubling the speed of third-generation RDIMM. The high demand for memory bandwidth driven by AI is promoting the application and penetration rate of MRDIMM in downstream markets.

On another product line, Anrises has successfully developed SerDes IP with data rates of 32GT/s, applied in PCIe 5.0 / CXL 2.0 Retimer. Furthermore, 64GT/s SerDes IP has also been developed for PCIe 6.x / CXL 3.x Retimer products. Currently, PCIe 7.0 SerDes IP supporting speeds up to 128GT/s is under research.

From these data and developments, the storage chip sector is in a stage of rapid technological iteration and demand expansion. Under the AI wave, the market space for memory interconnect chips is being redefined.

Lankong has truly seized the AI dividend this time. The iteration cycle from DDR5 to DDR6 is getting shorter and shorter, and this pace is quite intense... But to be honest, the chip race in this field is very complex, making it difficult for retail investors to grasp the right timing, and they risk buying high and getting cut.

Lankes' recent performance surge is truly outrageous. In the AI wave, storage chips are just winning effortlessly.

DDR6 isn't even here yet, just thinking about it is delightful. How many times should this market ceiling be raised?

Memory interconnect chips have really become the bottleneck of AI infrastructure. Whoever controls them is the boss.
