Client-side proof is the true privacy protection

Recently studied Miden's technical implementation, and found that their smartest move is—placing the proof generation process on the user side.

Compared to the current mainstream ZK-Rollup solutions. Projects like Aztec and StarkNet follow this process: your transaction is first sent to the sequencer, who is responsible for packaging, processing, generating the proof, and then submitting the proof on-chain. Sounds standard, right? But the problem is, during this step, your data must pass through the hands of the sequencer. Even if the data is encrypted, in theory, the sequencer can still see it.

This is what makes Miden different. User-side proofs mean sensitive data doesn't need to flow to centralized nodes at all, ensuring privacy from the framework level. This is the true decentralized privacy approach.
