Ethereum reserves on exchange (CEX) fell to the lowest level since 2016.

The amount of Ethereum held on centralized exchanges has fallen to its lowest level since 2016, a structurally positive signal often seen as a "bullish" trend for the market. This decline indicates that fewer ETH are available for immediate sale, thereby reducing selling pressure in the short term. Instead, a large portion of the Ethereum supply is being transferred to long-term storage forms such as cold wallets, staking, and DeFi protocols.

Historically, a sharp decrease in supply on the exchange typically occurs before periods of stable or growing prices, as the tightening of liquid supply can amplify the impact of buying demand. This trend also reflects the growing confidence of investors in the long-term foundation of Ethereum, including network upgrades, institutional participation, and an expanding role in the Defi ecosystem.
