Cryptocurrency spot ETFs experienced mixed performance on December 18. Bitcoin spot ETFs suffered net outflows totaling $161 million, while Ethereum spot ETFs saw $96.62 million in net outflows—extending a concerning six-day streak of consecutive outflows. Solana spot ETFs attracted $13.16 million in net inflows, and XRP spot ETFs drew in $30.41 million, signaling renewed institutional interest in alternative layer-1 platforms and major altcoins amid the broader market volatility.

BTC and ETH are playing people for suckers again, but SOL and XRP are quietly accumulating... What strategy are the institutions playing?

BTC and ETH are frantically fleeing, while SOL and XRP are bleeding out. This is what rotation looks like, everyone.

ngl the outflow numbers here are actually sub-optimal for btc hodlers... but if you analyze the data, sol and xrp picking up $43m combined? that's mathematically interesting. institutional capital flowing to layer-1s that actually optimize throughput. eth bleeding though—demonstrably concerning given the base layer dominance narrative everyone keeps pushing
