Abstract generation in progress

You see these abbreviations everywhere - social media, crypto, business - but what is the real meaning?

K = Thousand Simple as that. It comes from “kilo”. 1K is 1,000; 100K is 100,000.

M = Million 1 million is 1,000,000. Think of a thousand times a thousand.

B = Billion 1 billion is 1,000,000,000. One thousand million.

Quick reference table:

  • 1K = 1,000
  • 1M = 1,000,000
  • 1B = 1.000.000.000

Why does this matter? If you're involved with crypto, YouTube, freelancing, or anything online, you'll come across these numbers all the time. The quicker you internalize them, the better you'll be able to read a chart or understand a business proposal.
