Bitcoin Trading Query Newbie Guide: Learn to Track Your BTC in 3 Minutes
Newbies in the crypto world are most afraid of not knowing where to check after issuing a coin. Don't panic, it's actually super simple.
Core Concepts
Bitcoin transaction records are all stored on the blockchain, permanently accessible. Each transaction has a unique ID (TxID), just like a courier tracking number. All you need to do is find this ID and then throw it into a block explorer to search.
How to check
Step 1: Find the transaction history in your exchange/wallet app.
Step 2: Copy the TxID of that transaction (the location varies slightly by platform, usually found in the transaction details)
Step 3: Open any of the websites below and paste the TxID to search.
Useful Query Tool
mempool.space — Displays real-time mining status, showing where your transaction stands in the queue.
blockchain.com — The oldest browser, comprehensive data, supports BTC/BCH/ETH
blockstream.com — For professional players, capable of checking the Liquid sidechain, with fees clearly visible.
Key Information
After searching, you can see: transaction status (pending/confirmed), number of confirmations, transaction fee size, and transfer time. Generally, 6 confirmations are safe.
Tip: It's normal for the network to be slow when it's congested, so there's no need to rush. The query tool will update in real time, just refresh it a few times.
