Abstract generation in progress

Have you ever experienced not being able to log in to your MEXC account after switching to a new smartphone?

If you have set up Google Authenticator as a security measure, it's essential to "migrate" it from your old phone to your new one. Doing it incorrectly can result in your account being locked, so make sure you fully understand the process here.

Migration Completed in 5 Steps

Step 1: Install Google Authenticator on Your New Smartphone Search for "Google Authenticator" in the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android) and download it.

Step 2: Start Export on Your Old Smartphone Open Google Authenticator, tap the three lines in the top left corner → select "Transfer accounts." Authenticate yourself using biometric verification or by entering your password.

Step 3: Select the Codes to Migrate By default, all codes are checked. Uncheck any as needed and click "Export."

Step 4: Scan the QR Code with Your New Smartphone On your new phone's Google Authenticator, tap the "+" button at the bottom right → select "Scan a QR code" → scan the QR code displayed on your old phone. If you have many authentication codes, you may need to scan multiple times.

Step 5: Delete Data from Your Old Smartphone For security, select "Delete all exported accounts (recommended)" to complete the process. This will erase the authentication data from your old phone.

Key Point: Proceed Carefully and Double-Check

After scanning, be sure to verify that the correct authentication codes are displayed on your new phone before logging in. Rushing may lead to setup errors.

MEXC account security is standardly set up with "2-factor authentication + email + phone number" for triple-layer protection. Enabling multiple authentication methods, not just Google Authenticator, can help prevent trouble in situations like this.
