Getting Your BEP-20 Wallet Address: The Quick Guide

Need a BEP-20 address to trade or hold tokens on BNB Chain? You’re probably using either Metamask or Trust Wallet already. Here’s the no-BS breakdown.

Why BEP-20 Matters

Think of BEP-20 like Ethereum’s ERC-20 but for BNB Chain. Every blockchain has its own token standard—it’s basically the rulebook for how tokens work on that chain. If you want to move tokens around on BNB Chain, you need a BEP-20 compatible wallet address.

The Metamask Route (Desktop)

Step 1: Open Metamask and log in.

Step 2: Hit the network dropdown (top left) and look for BNB Chain. Already there? Skip to Step 4. Not there? Continue.

Step 3: Click “Add Network” and plug in these details:

• Network Name: Binance Smart Chain
• Chain ID: 56
• Symbol: BNB
• RPC URL & Block Explorer: (grab these from the official docs)

Step 4: Switch to BNB Chain from the dropdown.

Step 5: Click the three dots (top right) → “Account details” → boom, there’s your BEP-20 address and QR code. Copy it and you’re done.

Pro tip: Token balances won’t show up automatically unless you import them manually.

Trust Wallet: Browser Extension

Step 1: Launch the extension and click the top-left icon showing the current network.

Step 2: Select BNB Chain if it’s listed. If not, go to “Manage Networks” → “Add Custom Token.”

Step 3: Fill in the same BNB Chain details (Network Name, Chain ID 56, etc.).

Step 4: Go back and select BNB Chain from the Networks tab.

Step 5: Hit “Receive” → scroll for the BNB coin → click it → your BEP-20 address appears.

Trust Wallet: Mobile App

Even simpler:

1. Open the app and tap “Add Tokens”
2. Select BNB Smart Chain
3. Go back to home and click on the BNB coin you added
4. Tap “Receive” → copy your BEP-20 address

Bottom Line
