BTC big dump! Gann's law emergency warning: buy the dip in the golden pit or play people for suckers to escape?
The cryptocurrency market has experienced a shocking plunge, with BTC falling over 8% in a single day, breaking through multiple key moving averages. Investors are collectively caught in a dilemma—should they buy the dip in the "golden pit" or quickly cut loss to "escape"? The trading principles established by William Gann a century ago have long provided decision-making answers for volatile markets using the triple logic of time, price, and space.
The core of the Gann trading system is to predict market turning points through time cycles, price segmentation, and spatial trend analysis, combined with geometric angle analysis and volume verification, to achieve high-probability trend-following trades. Its eight core rules can be regarded as the "pitfall avoidance guide" for the current market:
1. Funds divided into three parts: keep enough safety redundancy.
Funds are divided into 3 parts, using only 1/3 for each position, while the remaining 2/3 should be reserved for volatility. Currently, BTC is experiencing severe fluctuations, and the risk of heavy buying the dip is extremely high; only by gradually positioning can one withstand market turbulence.
2. Cut Loss 2-3%: Stick to the loss bottom line
Single transaction losses must never exceed 2-3% of total funds, strictly adhere to this without taking chances. In extreme market conditions for BTC, holding onto stop-losses is the only way to avoid "losing everything at once" and to protect the principal for future operations.
3. Do not overtrade: refuse to blindly follow the crowd.
Capture high certainty opportunities only 5-7 times a year. The current market signals are chaotic, and frequent buying and selling will only amplify mistakes. Patiently waiting for clear signals is the wise choice.
4. Trend Pyramid: Increase positions when profitable, do not add to positions against the trend.
Increase positions gradually in a 1:2:3 ratio when profitable, and resolutely avoid adding positions during a contrary fall. Currently, the trend for BTC is downward, and buying the dip against the trend is like catching a falling knife, which is very likely to lead to losses.
5. Trendline Victory: 1×1 Angle Sets the Direction
If the price rises above the 1×1 ascending angle line, you can go long; if it breaks below, decisively go short. Currently, BTC has broken below the long-term trend support, and do not rush in before the trend is clear.
6. 50% Split: Capture Key Turning Points
Use the 50% retracement level of key market highs and lows as buy and sell signals. BTC has not yet touched effective retracement support, and the rebound may only be a short-term correction.
7. Time confirmation: wait for cyclical resonance signal
Price signals need to be confirmed with cycles such as anniversaries and seasons. Currently, there is a lack of time cycle resonance, and single price fluctuations are unlikely to result in effective reversals.
8. Trading Volume Confirmation: Distinguishing True and False Signals
A breakout with increasing volume is an effective signal, while a decrease in volume during a top often indicates distribution. This time, the big dump of BTC is accompanied by increased trading volume, and the selling pressure remains unchanged, signaling clearly.
In light of the current market: BTC is influenced by regulatory dynamics, fund flows, and other factors, with a short-term trend leaning bearish, but there is still room for technical recovery in the long term. According to the Gann theory, there is no need to blindly buy the dip or panic sell at this stage—use a three-part capital allocation strategy to gradually position, with the 50% retracement level and trend line as signals, strictly maintaining a 2-3% stop loss, and wait for the resonance of time and price signals.
Market opportunities are always present; preserving your principal is the key. By following Gann's eight major rules and avoiding emotional interference, one can precisely identify the true "golden pit" during a big dump. #内容挖矿赚丰厚返佣 $BTC $ETH $ZEC
