[Chain News] PANews, June 17 - Geoffrey Hinton, a pioneer of artificial intelligence and the "Godfather of AI," recently issued a stern warning on the podcast "Diary of a CEO," stating that superintelligent AI may deem human existence unnecessary and could launch biological warfare to "silently eliminate us" through cyber attacks, autonomous weapons, or even designing new viruses. Hinton noted that the threat of AI arises from both human misuse and AI's autonomous decision-making, and driven by profit motives and national competition, there is little chance of slowing down AI development.
