A recent in-depth research report shows that approximately 74% of family offices worldwide have begun or are actively assessing digital asset allocation plans. These institutions managing the wealth of ultra-high-net-worth individuals are demonstrating confidence in the encryption market through tangible actions.
Family offices, as private investment management institutions for wealthy families, have significant implications for their investment strategy shifts. Compared to two years ago when only a few institutions were tentatively exploring the field, digital assets have now become an important consideration in their investment portfolios. The vast amounts of capital these institutions control are sufficient to influence market trends. It is noteworthy that family offices have traditionally adhered to conservative investment principles, and their large-scale shift towards the digital asset space actually signifies that encryption assets have transformed from experimental investments into an important component of wealth management.
From an investment perspective, it mainly focuses on three areas:
First of all, mainstream encryption currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum remain their core allocation, as these assets have a broad consensus foundation and long-term value potential; secondly, compliant financial products such as Bitcoin spot ETFs are favored by family offices due to their lower entry barriers and compliance risks; in addition, some forward-looking family offices have begun to explore emerging fields such as decentralized finance ( DeFi ) and the tokenization of real assets ( RWA ).
For ordinary investors, the experiences that can be referenced include: adopting a long-term investment perspective, rationally assessing the development prospects over 5-10 years, rather than pursuing short-term gains; allocating the majority of funds to core encryption assets that have already proven their value; always maintaining a risk awareness and only investing funds that can be afforded to lose.
