Protect Your Pi Wallet: Important Security Reminders
In an open network, prioritizing the security of non-custodial Pi Wallets and Pi is more important than ever. The immutability of the blockchain means that if the wallet password is mistakenly shared with malicious actors or phishing sites, it could lead to irreversible transactions. Therefore, taking the right precautions now is crucial.
To help pioneers identify fake wallets, the official Pi Wallet is also visually identified in purple in the navigation bar of the Pi Browser, featuring the Pi logo and the core team application logo. If a scammer creates a fake "Pi Wallet" in an attempt to steal the pioneers' wallet passwords, they will not be able to modify the official Pi Wallet's application URL or the associated browser UI.
Be particularly cautious of fake websites, misleading advertisements (such as ads for fake websites), fake email addresses, and other malicious actors that may mislead pioneers and provide false information on social media.
Your wallet password is private and should never be shared with others. Please remember that no member of the Pi core team will ever ask you for any verification account information (such as wallet passwords, account passwords, verification codes, etc.). Members of the Pi core team will never call the pioneer team individually, and the pioneer team will never submit information to platforms, websites, or applications that are not listed as official Pi applications and products by the Pi Security Center.
For the two-factor authentication (2FA) required for migrating the Wallet confirmation, only trust 2FA emails sent from the official Pi Network domain (e.g., noreply@pi.email).
For verified information, official links and domains, as well as previous security announcements, please refer to the Pi Security Center. This is the best place to get the latest information and obtain security protection.
For certain regions, it is important to map, and for all participants and those preparing to participate, it is important that the code is Open Source.
