According to Techub News, the ZKsync team released an update on the progress of the investigation into the theft of airdropped tokens that occurred on April 13, 2025, revealing that it is working with the Security Committee to explore the gradual exchange of recovered Ethereum for ZK, and the subsequent processing will be decided through the governance mechanism. ZKsync also said it will revise the token program guidelines to require all token plans to use Capped Minter V2, which will be launched in December 2024, which includes a pre-specified end date that automatically prevents minting outside of the token program window; Real-time monitoring and alerting infrastructure deployment and end-to-end testing of all on-chain contracts that have access to ZK or protocols.
