Gate News: According to Gate’s official announcement, Gate Layer will smoothly upgrade the global execution-layer client from Geth to Reth. Reth is a high-performance Ethereum execution client written in Rust, supporting the execution-layer running mode for OP Stack chains. This upgrade is for node infrastructure; it will not change Gate Layer’s chain ID, account system, contract addresses, transaction format, RPC API compatibility, or on-chain asset status.
