On October 22, Jin10 reported that, on the eve of Tesla's (TSL.O) quarterly earnings report, an alliance composed of unions and corporate oversight organizations called on investors to follow corporate governance issues. The alliance launched a campaign website named “Take Back Tesla” on Tuesday, urging shareholders to vote against CEO Musk's nearly $1 trillion compensation plan, stating that it would further expand Musk's control over the company. The alliance criticized this massive compensation plan as “extremely outrageous,” partly because Musk's political activities “have harmed the Tesla brand and distracted him from his leadership role in the company.” The website pointed out that the compensation plan does not require Musk to prioritize Tesla. The website also called on the public to urge state finance officials and other public fund managers to reject this proposal.
