Jin10 reported on October 20 that on the 20th local time, a meeting of EU foreign ministers was held in Luxembourg. Before the meeting began, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Borrell stated that member states were unable to discuss a new round of sanctions against Russia. Borrell also mentioned that member states had not reached a new consensus on the use of frozen Russian assets. He expressed dissatisfaction with the US-Russia talks being held in Budapest, Hungary. Borrell stated that such actions are 'not good' and that inviting Russian leaders to Europe is 'incredible.' He questioned whether this move would yield any results. Borrell also stated that the EU supports meetings between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine.
