The most enticing—and most disgusting—part is that it has extreme volatility: in a single night, it can wipe out nearly 30%. Can you handle that? What’s the difference from all the knockoff scams in the crypto world? But if it’s a speculative position, you need both buying and selling—gains on paper don’t count as winning. Only when you “lock in and cash out” does it count as selling at the right moment, and you can truly profit.

Good news: Today the South Korean stock market may get a trading halt again, but this time it’s upward⬆️. After waking up and waiting for Korean stocks to catch up, will there be any concern about the price spread between Korean stocks and the U.S.-listed Hynix?

$BANK just went from euphoria to panic in record time. 📉

A 50%+ flush after a 10x rally has everyone watching the next move.

Oversold conditions could fuel a relief bounce, but whale concentration is still the biggest risk.

New exchange listings bring fresh liquidity, yet price will only recover if buyers step in with conviction.

Volatility creates opportunities. Manage your risk.

Damn, what ruthless timing! Most crypto people in the crypto scene get cut once, and then—so foolishly—they run to U.S. stocks to get cut again. Crypto people are the ones who influence the overall environment. Don’t believe me? Just look: these past two months, since the bulk of them left the crypto market, there’s almost been no big fluctuation, and everything is thriving. But the U.S. stock market is in a terrible state—its storage has even crashed! Short-term rebounds hit resistance, and the market is waiting for a real directional choice.

Don’t rush if you didn’t copy the storage all the way—big chance that BTC is going to around 72,000 for a quick test. It’s only 65,000 right now.

Ugh, the original family just isn’t as appealing anymore. I put in so much effort writing that many-word analysis post about BTC, and it turns out nobody really even looked.

A community post from a few days ago. At the time, Mairwell was still close to 200. But this round of price drop didn’t hit aerospace—there’s less money, so concentrate your advantages and go all in on doing hard tech! Today, there’s another record below; we may need to wait for a crypto bull market to verify the results.

How should I put this—over the past few days, there’s been a whole series of “buy the dip” posts about how to go about it all, from the logic to the execution—what do you call it????

Leopold’s script feels a bit familiar. Today, several of his biggest holdings $NBIS $BE saw a very massive surge, as the news that he’s been fully liquidated spreads and it takes off in tandem with the MSFT earnings report.
On closer inspection, isn’t this exactly the script of picking up an ETH liquidation whale’s corpse? The original family really taught us too much.

$145 SKHY—are you going to buy the dip or run away?

First, look at the surface: the best performance, the worst chart.

July 29 earnings set a record: revenue of 79 trillion won, operating profit of 60 trillion won, net profit of 93.9 trillion won. HBM4 has already started shipments, HBM4E samples are being delivered, and mass production will begin in 2027. It has signed long-term supply agreements with about 10 customers including NVIDIA, and there’s also a deposit mechanism.

With fundamentals like this, the stock shouldn’t be down 30%.

But the market fell anyway. It dropped from 194 to 115-125, then rebounded back to 145.

First question: Why did earnings explode while the price crashed?

The reason will probably sound unbelievable—you’re not looking at bad performance. It’s “it’s too good, but not good enough.”

The market had already priced expectations through the roof in advance; then the earnings came out—although profit is up 557%, it’s still slightly below the most outrageous expectations. Add conservative pricing on the long-term agreements, and short-term capital immediately goes “buy the rumor, sell the news.”

Second question: You might not even know what you’re buying.

SK Hynix—global leader in HBM, with a 59% market share.

What is HBM? The “lifeline” of AI chips.

In NVIDIA’s HBM4 allocation, SK Hynix took the larger share. For 2026, the entire annual supply has already been sold out—completely—sold—out!

Market cap is about $700B. TTM PE is only 17-18. Compared with those loss-making AI concept stocks, this valuation is called “cheap.”

Third question: Technical signals have appeared that you must pay attention to.

From 194 to 126, it fell by 35%+. Now it’s rebounded to 145, right around the IPO reference price. The key is:

130-135 is the dense recent trading zone—strong support

150 is the psychological level; a breakout would open up upside space

If a second dip doesn’t break 130, that’s the typical “higher low”—technical confirmation of a reversal

But on the other hand—if it breaks below the 115 prior low, below is 100, with no support.

You decide the bull-bear duel.

Bull logic:

HBM4 is already in mass production and shipping; HBM4E is on the way

All 2026 supply is sold out; customers are lining up to send money

PE of 17-18—this is “extremely undervalued” for a company growing by +200%

Global semiconductor sales shock of $1.5 trillion, and AI infrastructure investment of tens of trillions

Bear logic:

Technical breakdown—194 was the medium-term top

Concerns about a bubble in the AI sector plus rotation pressure

Perpetual funding rates are slightly positive; longs are crowded

Any macro hiccup can knock it down another 10-20%

Key levels

Resistance overhead: 150 → 160-170 → 194 (ATH)

Support below: 130-135 → 115-125 → 100

Short-term traders:

Test longs lightly near 145; target 150-155; stop loss below 142. If it pulls back to 130-135 and stabilizes, add more; target 160.

Swing traders:

Core strategy: buy on dips. Ideal entry 125-135, build positions in batches, stop loss below 115, target 160-180, even a retest of the previous high. If it breaks above 150 with volume and holds, add to chase the trend.

Long-term believers:

Buy through 125-135 with set-and-forget investing. Hold for 1-2 years; you’re betting on HBM shortages persisting until 2030+ and SK Hynix’s leading position being impossible to shake. Targets align with a repair in the Korean stock market plus an upcycle in AI.

Risk-control iron rules:

Single-trade risk ≤ 2% of total capital. Use conditional orders. Reduce exposure when the funding rate is too high. Any major cut in AI capex or any geopolitical “black swan”—immediately reduce leverage.

Tell me—what about a company that has already mass-produced an HBM4 and sold out its 2026 capacity, is it worth 145?

From 194 down to 126, what fell wasn’t the fundamentals—it was panic in human nature.

In 2022, when NVIDIA fell from 300 to 100, how many people shouted “the AI bubble has burst”? Later it surged to 1000+.

Every time this kind of “massive mispricing” happens, it’s payday for those who understood.

Is $145 SKHY the next golden pit, or just somewhere partway up the mountain?

The answer isn’t in the candlestick chart—it’s in your faith in the AI compute-power revolution.

Why did most of this round of opportunistic positions basically go into storage, chips, not into crypto? Because I personally think that the current buzz is still focused on storage. Black-and-red is still red—whether the market is down or up, the discussion level isn’t really different. The whole market’s attention is still on SK hynix’s spotlight, which is basically market inertia! So for this round, it’s still, first, to speculate—on storage.

$83 oil—are you going to chase a long?

First, look at the surface: geopolitics is insane, and oil prices are jumping around.

Over the past month, crude oil surged violently from $72 to $93, then plunged to $77 within a week—now it has rebounded back to $83. The 24-hour swing is $3–$4. It’s up more than 20% for the month, and up 45%+ year-to-date. Geopolitical conflict is making all technical indicators fail—both bulls and bears are basically swimming naked.

First thing: when the big guns fire, crude oil jumps—are retail traders being played again?

The escalation of the US–Iran conflict continues. The US launched attacks on more than 80 targets in Iran. The risk in the Strait of Hormuz has surged sharply, and Red Sea CPC terminal loading and unloading has been paused. According to the textbook, crude oil should break above $100.

But in reality—oil prices were smashed from $93 all the way down to $77, a decline of 17%. Why? Because the market is trading the expectation that “the conflict won’t truly cut off supply.” Every time missiles launch, oil prices rise 3%; every time news of “ceasefire talks” comes out, oil prices fall 8%.

Retail traders are still shouting, “There’s fighting—buy oil now,” while institutions have been precisely topping out and escaping above $93. Geopolitical conflict is crude oil’s biggest friend—and the shortest-lived catalyst.

Second thing: the EIA inventories gave the bulls a shot of adrenaline.

The latest EIA data shows that US commercial crude oil inventories fell sharply by 7.2 million barrels to about 404.5 million barrels, which is below the five-year average by 6–7%. Cushing delivery inventories also declined in sync.

A tight supply picture is real—US SPR is at multi-year lows, OPEC+ production cuts are still being implemented, and Middle East shipping risks are pushing up physical premiums. But the demand side is also weak: China’s demand is slowing, and high oil prices themselves are suppressing consumption. The IEA is cautious in its 2026 demand forecast, and has even begun discussing the possibility of “a supply surplus.”

Third thing: a must-watch signal has appeared on the technical side.

On the daily timeframe, from the bounce at $72 to $93, then the pullback to $77—right now it’s ranging around $83. This is a standard “pullback and consolidation within an ascending channel.” The 0.5–0.618 Fibonacci retracement levels are in the $80–$82 area, which just happens to form a support zone.

Bulls vs bears—you decide

On one side is:

EIA inventories plunged by 7.2 million barrels, 6–7% below the five-year average

The US–Iran conflict hasn’t cooled, and the Hormuz risk premium keeps rising

Summer demand is strong, with North Hemisphere refinery utilization high

After rebounding from $72 to $93, the medium-term trend is still tilted bullish

On the other side is:

Demand growth is slowing, and China’s data is weak

Institutions have lowered their 2026 average price expectations, and worries about oversupply are heating up

Strong resistance forms near $93, and a possible head-and-shoulders top pattern is faintly emerging

Geopolitical news can change in an instant—at any moment it could trigger a “ceasefire crash”

Key levels

Resistance overhead: 85.5–87 → 89–90 → 93 (prior high)

Support below: 80–82 → 77–78 → 74–75

For short-term traders:

If price holds above 84–85 with volume, lightly enter a long; targets are 87–90; stop loss is below 82. If it breaks below 82 and confirms, lightly try a short; targets are 80–77; stop loss is above 85.

For swing players:

Wait for the pullback to $80–$82 to stabilize, then pair it with contracting volume + a bullish divergence; build long positions in batches; targets are the prior high at 90+; stop loss 77–78.

For shorts/hedgers:

If there’s a clear breakdown below 77–78, along with inventories loosening or genuinely meaningful ceasefire progress, consider a medium-term short; target around 70.

Risk-control iron rule:

Reduce positions before the weekly Wednesday EIA inventory data, and after the data is released, wait 30 minutes before taking action.

Any high-level statement from the US or Iran could trigger a 5%+ gap.

Don’t carry an oversized position overnight—geopolitical news can explode anytime within 24 hours.

Position management will always be more important than direction judgment.

Crude oil right now is like the night before the negative oil price in April 2020—

Everyone is betting that geopolitics will push oil prices higher, but nobody cares that demand is collapsing.

At $83, is this the start of a new upswing—or the final “buy the rumor” trap before a crash?

The answer isn’t in the candlestick chart—it’s on every oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
