DuskVM is probably more important than it first looks.
I was digging into Dusk’s execution layer, and one detail stood out to me:
Dusk isn’t forcing every developer into the EVM.
DuskVM runs Rust/WASM smart contracts directly on the Dusk L1, while DuskEVM gives developers the SolidityEVM route. That separation is interesting because the two environments solve different problems.
Then, on August 10, DuskEVM testnet went live, opening the EVM compatible side for Solidity and Hardhat based testing.
What I find interesting here is the architecture:
DuskVM → direct L1 execution
Rust/WASM → protocol-level and specialized contracts
Privacy/ZK access → closer to the base layer
DuskEVM → familiar Ethereum tooling
$DUSK → native gas and staking asset
My first reaction was actually: why build two execution paths?
The answer seems to be flexibility rather than compatibility for its own sake.
But testnet launch alone doesn't tell us whether developers will actually use both environments at scale. That's the part I'm watching now.
Will real builders choose DuskVM when direct L1 execution matters, or will most activity eventually gravitate toward DuskEVM?

Bitcoin bear markets have always looked scary.
But the bottoms tell another story.
2015: $166 gave 386x
2018: $3,189 gave 20x
2022: $15,473 gave 4x
Every cycle rewarded patience.
The big question now:
Are you buying the 2026 dip?

This week was supposed to bring two big U.S. crypto regulatory developments.
Instead, the CLARITY Act was pushed beyond the Senate’s August recess, and the SEC canceled its Aug. 14 open meeting on proposed crypto rules because of a scheduling issue.
For now, the market is back to waiting.
The bullish part is that regulatory clarity is still being worked on.
The frustrating part is the timeline keeps moving.

Gold at $4,380—are you chasing it?

Look at the surface first: a surge followed by a pullback, with bulls and bears locked in fierce combat.

Today, it strongly rebounded from around $4,310 to $4,380, edging up over 24 hours, gaining about 3% over the past five days and more than 8% on the monthly chart. After plunging from the 5,500-5,600 ATH at the start of the year, it rebounded from 4,000 to 4,450 in July and August. It has now entered a profit-taking correction. A shooting star formed around 4,450, and the pullback came on declining volume, so the market needs to shake out weak hands.

First: You think gold is rising because of "turbulent times"? Wrong.

Global central banks made net gold purchases of 289 tonnes in Q2, the highest level ever recorded for the same period. China bought another 20 tonnes in July, bringing its reserves above 2,340 tonnes. Poland, Turkey, India—all of them are buying.

After the new Fed chair took office, the stance was hawkish, but once CPI and PPI came out, the market's expectations for a September rate hike immediately fell to 35%. The dollar index pulled back from its highs, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield fell along with it. Gold rebounded immediately.

Second: You think gold is a "safe haven"? Wrong—it is an "index of the dollar trust crisis."

Gold generates no interest, and holding it carries an opportunity cost. Why would central banks rather forgo interest in order to buy it?

Because the dollar settlement system is being hit by the wave of de-dollarization. China, Russia, and the BRICS countries are all looking for alternatives. Gold is the only reserve asset with no "counterparty risk."

Third: A technical signal has emerged that must be taken seriously.

The uptrend channel from the July low remains intact. The pullback came on declining volume, RSI has returned from overbought to neutral-to-bullish territory, and MACD momentum has slowed but remains in positive territory. This is a typical "healthy correction after being overbought."

Bulls versus bears—judge for yourself

On one side:

Global central banks bought a record 289 tonnes of gold in Q2, with China continuing to increase its holdings

Soft CPI/PPI, rate-hike probability down to 35%, dollar under pressure

Geopolitical uncertainty persists, with safe-haven demand erupting intermittently

Uptrend channel intact, pullback on declining volume, bulls in control

On the other side:

A shooting star formed at 4,450, creating short-term profit-taking pressure

The Fed remains hawkish, and its rhetoric could trigger a sell-off at any time

Physical demand is being suppressed by high prices

If the dollar rebounds, gold could face short-term pressure

Key levels

Resistance above: 4,430-4,450 → 4,500 → all-time high

Support below: 4,310-4,330 → 4,287 (lower channel boundary) → 4,155-4,200

Trading strategy

Short-term traders:

Go long after a pullback stabilizes at 4,310-4,330, with a stop-loss at 4,250 and a target of 4,430-4,450. Take partial profits near 4,450 at elevated levels.

Swing traders:

Chase longs after a decisive breakout above 4,450 on increased volume, targeting 4,500-4,600, with a stop-loss below 4,400.

Short sellers/hedgers:

Only cautiously test shorts with a small position after a clear, high-volume break below 4,287, targeting 4,155, with a stop-loss above 4,330.

Long-term believers:

Dollar-cost average in batches within the 4,000-4,300 range. Central banks are all buying—are you joining them?

Position sizing and risk management

Keep any single asset below 5-10% of total capital

Use leverage of no more than 5-10x, with strict stop-losses

Watch funding rates (they may turn negative when longs become overcrowded)

Gold's current script—

It is exactly the same as in 2023: softer CPI → dollar falls → gold rises → central banks buy aggressively → retail traders chase the highs → a pullback shakes out weak hands → new highs.

Every time you capitulate in panic, you are giving central banks low-priced chips.

Wall Street is agonizing over "rate hikes or rate cuts,"

while central banks are quietly buying gold.

If the USD/CNY exchange rate is to return to 7 within a year, I think several conditions would need to occur at the same time.
First, the Federal Reserve would need to resume raising interest rates, or at least cause the market to once again expect “higher rates for longer.” Ideally, it would raise rates by another 25—50 basis points, which would boost returns on dollar assets and make it easier for the US Dollar Index to strengthen. Second, China would need to continue cutting interest rates and reserve requirements, further loosening monetary policy. If the US maintains high interest rates or even resumes raising them, while China continues releasing liquidity to support growth, the interest-rate differential between China and the US would widen again, reducing the appeal of RMB assets relative to dollar assets.
Third, China’s economy would need to come under more noticeable pressure again, such as further deterioration in the property market, weak domestic demand, declining corporate earnings, or reduced foreign investment in Chinese assets. A stronger dollar alone may not be enough; the RMB itself would also need to come under some depreciation pressure. Fourth, the trade surplus would need to begin narrowing. If the Strait of Hormuz remains unable to operate normally for an extended period, while oil and gas prices and shipping costs remain high, China, as a major energy importer, would need to spend more dollars purchasing energy. Once import costs rise, even if exports do not decline significantly, the trade surplus could still be squeezed, naturally weakening its support for the RMB.
Fifth, market demand for the dollar would need to increase again. For example, companies could reduce foreign-exchange settlement and increase their dollar deposits, residents and institutions could increase their allocation to overseas assets, while foreign investors reduce their allocations to RMB assets or even begin withdrawing funds.
So, as I understand it, the USD/CNY exchange rate returning to 7 is essentially not merely a bet on a stronger dollar; it requires the dollar to strengthen again while the RMB weakens again. Only when forces on both sides emerge together will the 7 level truly become easier to reach.

SNDK at $1,630—are you chasing it?

Look at the surface first: a barrage of bullish catalysts, breaking through everything in its path.

Perpetual futures are hovering around $1,630 in real time, up another 6.5% over 24 hours. From the July 30 low of $970, it has rebounded 63.6% in total, outperforming Micron by 26.8 percentage points and SK hynix by 30.2 percentage points in two weeks.

After Investor Day, the stock surged 13.67% in a single day, closing at $1,528 and continuing to climb to $1,638 premarket. The memory chip sector celebrated across the board—SK hynix rose 6.5% and Kioxia rose 8.7%.

First: What “nuclear bomb” did Investor Day unleash?

The company provided a long-term model for FY2028–2030:

Mid-to-high single-digit revenue growth

Non-GAAP gross margin sustained at around 80%

Operating margin of around 75%

Free cash flow margin of around 50%

100% of excess cash returned to shareholders

Wall Street is unanimously bullish, with price targets concentrated in the $1,600–$2,450 range.

Second: Wait—RSI 89. Are you sure you want to chase it now?

The technical picture is already flashing red.

On August 12, RSI 6 had surged to 89.55. What does that mean? It is even more overbought than at the June ATH.

Immediate resistance zone: $1,572–$1,580

Medium-term resistance: $1,530–$1,570, a heavily concentrated trading zone

If $1,515–$1,530 fails: it may retest $1,400–$1,432

Support below: around $1,454, then $1,273

It has risen 63% in two weeks, with almost no meaningful pullback along the way. Once sentiment cools, the stampede could be brutal.

Third: Have the bearish catalysts been exhausted? No, they may not have arrived yet.

Citi just cut its price target from $2,500 to $2,100 on August 6. Wedbush is “not fully buying” the long-term guidance from Investor Day.

Memory chips are a highly cyclical industry. AI demand is indeed strong, but if CSP capital expenditures slow, NAND prices could collapse instantly. The current price has already fully priced in expectations for an “AI memory supercycle”—any data point that falls short of expectations could trigger a pullback starting at 20%.

The bulls and bears face off—you decide

On one side:

Investor Day delivered explosive long-term guidance, with gross margin above 80% and FCF margin at 50%+

Eight customers have locked in two-thirds of capacity for the next two years

JPMorgan targets $2,250, Goldman Sachs $2,200, and Lynx Equity sees $2,450

A 63% rebound in two weeks, with the bulls unstoppable

On the other side:

RSI has surged to 89, extremely overbought

A 63% rise in two weeks without a pullback, leaving massive unrealized gains

Citi just cut its price target, while Wedbush questioned the long-term guidance

Once the memory cycle turns, the decline could be faster than the rise

Key levels

Resistance above: $1,650–$1,700 → $1,800 → $2,000 → $2,350 (ATH)

Support below: $1,580–$1,600 → $1,515–$1,530 → $1,454 → $1,273

Trading strategy

Short-term traders:

Wait for a pullback to $1,580–$1,600 and consider entering after it stabilizes, with a stop-loss below $1,530 and targets of $1,700–$1,800. Alternatively, wait for a high-volume breakout above $1,650–$1,680 and confirmation before chasing.

Swing traders:

Scale out near the highs, around $1,700+, to lock in profits, then buy back after a pullback below $1,550. The main upward wave of this move is already over; this is now the tail end of the rally.

Bears (aggressive):

If it surges to $1,650–$1,700 on low volume and forms a long upper shadow or an engulfing pattern, consider a small short position, targeting $1,550–$1,454, with a stop-loss above $1,720.

Long-term believers:

Wait for a pullback to the $1,400–$1,450 area before building a position in batches.

SNDK’s current script—

Exactly the same as MU’s move one month ago: bullish catalyst → violent rally → retail FOMO chasing at the highs → overbought → pullback → retail investors left holding the bag.

Every time you chase at RSI 90, you are giving money to the institutions that bought the dip at $970 two weeks ago.

When bullish catalysts are fully priced in, it is often a short-term top.

The real main upward wave begins when nobody is paying attention.

No wonder everything I buy loses money! 99% of retail investors don’t even understand these 20 financial statement metrics:

1. Revenue Growth
How much more the company sold this year compared with last year. Simply put, is the business getting bigger? For example, if revenue was 10 billion last year and 13 billion this year, that’s 30% growth. But note that revenue growth doesn’t mean the company is making money. Selling more could also mean losing more.

2. Net Profit Growth
How much more money the company actually earned this year compared with last year. For example, if it earned 1 billion last year and 1.5 billion this year, that’s 50% growth. This metric is more important than simply looking at revenue because, ultimately, a company needs profits to make money.

3. EPS Growth
Whether the amount of money earned per share is increasing. For example, a company’s net profit may grow by 50%, but if it issues a large number of new shares at the same time, earnings per share may grow by only 20%. So you can’t just look at how much the company earned overall—you also need to see how much the share you own earned.

4. Operating Cash Flow
The amount of cash the company actually receives from its core business after deducting payments to suppliers, employees, and others during normal operations. Simply put, is the core business generating cash on its own? If net profit looks great but operating cash flow is poor for a long time, you should be cautious about whether those profits have truly turned into cash.

5. Free Cash Flow
The cash that remains after subtracting capital expenditures (CapEx)—the money that must be spent on things such as buying equipment, building factories, expanding capacity, and maintaining fixed assets—from operating cash flow.
Sometimes interest, taxes, and other items are adjusted as well, but the core idea is to deduct the long-term investments required to expand the business.

6. Gross Margin
How much money remains after deducting direct production costs for every $100 of products the company sells. For example, a 40% gross margin means that after selling $100 worth of products and deducting direct costs, $40 remains. A higher gross margin usually indicates that the product itself is more profitable, possibly because of brand strength, technology, scale, or pricing power.
This measures the profitability of the product itself.

7. Operating Margin
The percentage of profit remaining after deducting selling expenses, administrative expenses, R&D expenses, depreciation, amortization, and other expenses from gross profit.
This measures the company’s overall operating efficiency.

8. Net Margin
The percentage of profit that ultimately goes into shareholders’ pockets after deducting interest, taxes, non-operating income and expenses, and everything else from operating profit.
This measures how much the company truly earns after everything is accounted for.

9. ROIC
How much the company can earn in a year from every $100 invested in the business. For example, if the company invests $10 billion in capital and generates $1.5 billion in after-tax operating profit in a year, its ROIC is approximately 15%. Simply put, this measures how effectively the company uses money to make money. A consistently high ROIC usually indicates a strong business model and good capital efficiency.

10. ROE
How much money shareholders’ capital can help generate for them in a year after being invested in the company. For example, if shareholders invest $10 billion and the company earns $2 billion in a year, ROE is 20%. Simply put, give the company $100 and it earns $20 for you in a year. Higher ROE is generally better, but if the company has borrowed a lot of money, leverage may artificially boost ROE.

11. Debt-to-Assets Ratio
How much of the company’s total assets are financed with borrowed money. For example, if the company has $10 billion in total assets and $6 billion in liabilities, its debt-to-assets ratio is 60%. Simply put, how much of the company’s financial foundation belongs to someone else rather than the company itself? The higher this ratio, the higher the financial leverage is usually, along with the pressure to repay debt.

12. Net Debt
The amount of debt that remains after subtracting the cash the company currently holds from the money it owes. For example, if the company has borrowed $10 billion but holds $8 billion in cash, its net debt is $2 billion. Simply put, don’t just look at how much the company owes—also look at how much cash it has available to repay that debt.

13. Accounts Receivable
Money from goods the company has already sold but that customers have not yet paid. Simply put, the money has already been recorded as company revenue, but it is still in the customers’ hands. If revenue grows by 20% while accounts receivable surges by 60%, you should be alert to whether the company is finding it increasingly difficult to collect payment or has extended payment terms to inflate its results.

14. Inventory
The products, raw materials, and semi-finished goods that have not yet been sold and are still sitting in the company’s warehouse. Simply put, how much inventory is the company holding? If revenue grows by 20% and inventory also grows by 20%, there is usually no major problem. But if revenue barely grows while inventory increases dramatically, it may indicate that the products are no longer selling.

15. CapEx
The money the company spends on factories, equipment, machinery, data centers, and other assets to maintain and expand its business. Simply put, how much money must the company invest each year to keep making money? The higher the CapEx, the more capital-intensive and cash-burning the business usually is, and it also directly affects free cash flow.

16. EBITDA
Ignoring interest on debt, taxes, and equipment depreciation, this looks at approximately how much operating profit the business itself can generate. Simply put, it sets aside the financing method, taxes, and certain accounting treatments to see how much money the business itself can actually make.

Suppose a milk tea shop earns $1 million in annual sales. It spends $600,000 on tea leaves, milk, cups, and employee wages. Rent, utilities, advertising, and the store manager’s salary cost another $150,000. So under normal operations, its accounting profit is $250,000. However, the ice maker, cash register, and renovations it purchased are depreciated by $80,000 per year for accounting purposes. In addition, it borrowed money to open the store, resulting in $30,000 in annual interest payments, and it pays $40,000 in taxes. In the end, the net profit actually left in its pocket is only $100,000.

Operating profit $250,000 + depreciation $80,000 = EBITDA $330,000.

17. ROA
How much money the company can earn in a year by using all of its assets in the business. For example, if the company has $10 billion in assets and earns $500 million in a year, its ROA is 5%. Simply put, are the company’s factories, equipment, cash, inventory, and other assets being used effectively to generate profits?

18. Buybacks
The company uses its own cash to buy back its shares on the market. After the repurchased shares are retired, the number of shares in circulation decreases. Simply put, the cake remains the same size, but there are fewer people dividing it, so each remaining share may become more valuable. However, if the company aggressively buys back shares when its stock price is very high, that is not necessarily a good thing. It can easily waste shareholders’ money—funds that could otherwise have been used to expand the business or develop new products.

19. PE
How many times the company’s annual profit the stock’s current price represents. For example, if a company has a PE ratio of 20, you can simply understand it as the market valuing the company at 20 times its annual profit. A low PE does not necessarily mean the stock is cheap; the market may believe the company will decline in the future. A high PE does not necessarily mean it is expensive; the market may believe the company can continue growing rapidly. So PE should always be evaluated together with growth, profit margins, ROIC, and cash flow.

20. Forward PE
The profit the company is expected to earn over the next 12 months.

If a company’s current total market capitalization is 10 billion, and it is expected to earn 500 million next year:

Forward PE = 10 billion ÷ 500 million = 20x

Which metric do you care about most?

From the perspective of accumulating and holding, Bitcoin does seem rather ordinary compared with the dazzling AI bull market. However, based on the past two bull markets, Bitcoin has demonstrated the following characteristics:

1. Strong cyclical behavior;
2. A steady upward trend accompanied by volatility that is relatively friendly to investors’ nerves;
3. A disciplined trajectory, with several 20–30% pullbacks during the main uptrend of each bull market.

APR at $0.5—are you willing to bet?

Look beneath the surface: bullish news bombardment, with retail FOMO rushing in.

A week ago, it was still hovering around $0.19-$0.20. After the project team announced on August 12 that it would buy back approximately 5.3% of APR's total supply from early investors, the price violently surged to around $0.62, with 24-hour trading volume exceeding $100 million and reaching No. 4 on the trending searches.

The 4H Bollinger Bands are widening, and the MACD bullish bars are expanding—either it keeps flying, or it buries you at the top.

First: the buyback is real, but you may already be the fish.

The project team bought back approximately 53 million APR (5.3% of the 1 billion total supply), with plans to use it for community incentives and ecosystem growth. This directly reduces selling pressure from circulating supply, triggering a short-term surge in volume and price while shorts are completely liquidated.

Some people acquired their positions at extremely low cost. Now the project team is spending money to help them “exit gracefully,” then telling you, “This is bullish.” The buyback is backed by real money, but so is the money you are using to buy their bags.

Second: low circulation + high attention = the market makers’ ATM.

The total supply is 1 billion tokens, while only 278 million are circulating (approximately 28%).

Retail traders see “it has doubled—rush in,” while market makers see “I still have 72% of the tokens left to sell.” That 5.3% buyback? Compared with the 722 million tokens still locked, it is not even a fraction.

On July 23, 54.34 million APR were just unlocked. The next unlock comes on October 23.

A $140 million market cap and $500 million FDV—nothing but narrative, with no revenue.

Third: the technicals are flashing a signal that must be watched carefully.

After rising from $0.19 to $0.62, the RSI surged into extremely overbought territory. It then quickly crashed back to $0.45-$0.48, forming a long upper wick—the classic “profit-taking after a news-driven surge.”

Resistance above: $0.52-$0.55 → $0.60 → $0.73 (ATH)

Support below: $0.40-$0.42 → $0.35 → $0.30

The bulls and bears face off—you decide

On one side:

The project team is buying back 5.3% of the total supply, reducing selling pressure from circulating tokens

A team with Jump and Coinbase backgrounds, having raised approximately $30 million

A core protocol in the Monad ecosystem, with the MEV + liquid staking narrative

It doubled in 24 hours + trading volume topped $100 million, sending attention through the roof

A nearly 150% gain in seven days, with the trend still leaning bullish

On the other side:

Only 28% is circulating, while 72% of the tokens remain locked

54.34 million were just unlocked in July, with another round coming in October

The RSI previously surged into extremely overbought territory

TVL is extremely low, and protocol revenue is virtually zero

It is a news-driven market, where sentiment reverses faster than turning a page

Trading strategies

Aggressive gamblers:

Wait for a pullback to $0.40-$0.42 to stabilize, then go long with a small position; target $0.52-$0.55, stop-loss at $0.38.

Conservative players:

Wait for a pullback below $0.35 before considering an entry, or wait for structural confirmation.

Bears:

If it surges to $0.52-$0.55 without volume, or if BTC weakens, try a small short position; target $0.35, stop-loss above $0.48.

This is APR’s current script—

Exactly the same as those “low circulation + news-driven pump” altcoins from 2024: pump → FOMO → distribution → dump → rebound → more distribution.

The project team’s buyback is real, the narrative is real, and the team is genuinely hardcore.

But the money you make is bait that the market makers deliberately leave for you.

In a casino, the only way to win is—run when you win, and never come back.

Three Huge Financings in One Week: The AI Chip War Has Officially Escalated from a “Product War” to a “Capital War”

In one week, three companies pulled off three major moves.

On August 10, NVIDIA joined forces with BlackRock, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and three other Wall Street giants—six Wall Street giants in total—to announce the establishment of a $500 billion computing-power financing platform.

On August 11, Intel announced a $20 billion common stock offering—the largest single equity financing since its listing in 1971.

On August 13, AMD completed a $4.75 billion bond issuance—the largest dollar-debt financing in the company’s history.

In four days, three chip giants raised nearly $525 billion.

If you still think the AI chip war is about computing power, architecture, and ecosystems—you’ve already been eliminated.

First, NVIDIA.

It is playing the “platform card.”

Jensen Huang did not put up the money himself. He brought in six top-tier institutions—Apollo, Blackstone, BlackRock, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR—with the goal of mobilizing more than $500 billion in third-party capital over the next few years.

Huang’s exact words were: “For the first time, chips have become an asset class with investment value.”

What does that mean?

In the past, buying chips was a cost. Now, buying chips is buying an asset—it can generate revenue, be used as collateral, be securitized, and be sold to Wall Street.

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said it felt like the birth of mortgage-backed securities in the 1970s.

NVIDIA is not just selling chips; it is redefining the financial attributes of chips.

Now, Intel.

It is playing the “equity card.”

Before the market opened on August 10, Intel announced a $15 billion stock offering. Once the announcement was made, demand quickly exceeded $100 billion, with the offering more than six times oversubscribed.

The next day, Intel directly increased the size to $20 billion.

Why was it willing to do this?

Because Intel’s stock price has **risen 164% year to date**. Raising money at a high point means less dilution and more cash—a textbook case of “striking while the iron is hot.”

What is the cost? Dilution for existing shareholders. 210 million new shares are being dumped onto the market. But Intel does not care—it wants the money to pour into AI chips and wafer foundry operations.

Now, AMD.

It is playing the “debt card.”

Four tranches of bonds, with maturities ranging from three to ten years. The final spread on the 10-year notes was 90 basis points above U.S. Treasuries, narrowing by 25 basis points from the initial guidance of 115 basis points.

What does “narrowing” mean? It means there were too many buyers, allowing AMD to push the interest rate lower.

Investors rushed to lend money to AMD.

Why? Because AMD held $13.1 billion in cash as of the end of June and has an investment-grade credit rating. It does not lack money; it is locking in low-cost, long-term funding in advance.

Without diluting equity or selling shares cheaply, it borrowed $4.75 billion at an interest rate of 4.6%–5.5%.

This is a CFO’s perfect move.

Three cards, three approaches, one goal.

NVIDIA is using financial leverage—putting up no money itself while mobilizing $500 billion from Wall Street.

Intel is using equity financing—taking advantage of its high stock price to exchange shares for cash.

AMD is using debt financing—not diluting shareholders, but using its credit to obtain cheap money.

But there is only one underlying logic:

Global AI-related investment is expected to reach $1 trillion in 2026. In 2027, it will rise further to $1.2 trillion.

In this trillion-dollar spending race, whoever runs out of money first is out.

Here is the painful truth:

In the past, we compared whose GPUs had higher benchmark scores.

Now, we compare whose CFO can borrow money more cheaply.

The product war is a contest for engineers. The capital war is a contest for CFOs and Wall Street connections.

NVIDIA has Jensen Huang personally securing six major institutions. Intel has market frenzy backing it, allowing it to add another $5 billion in a single day. AMD has its investment-grade credit rating, driving its spread down to 90 basis points.

Financing capability has become the fourth core competitive advantage in the AI chip industry—behind computing power, architecture, and ecosystem.

This war is about the thickness of one’s wallet, but even more about the ability to borrow money. Whoever runs out of supplies first is out.
