Bitcoin is trading near 80,490.4 USDT on Gate spot, up 4.12 percent over the last 24 hours, a gain of about 3,316.20 USDT from roughly 77,174.20 USDT a day earlier. 24-hour quote volume is about 1.11 billion USDT, which signals active participation. Gold (XAUUSD) is near 4,138.66 USD, up 78.50 USD or about 1.93 percent from its previous close of 4,060.

$USDT and $USDC are both shrinking, so the decline extends across the two biggest issuers.
I’m cautious about calling a sustained recovery because trading can pick up while existing money just moves around faster.
My read is that demand to hold stablecoins could be weakening, though supply alone doesn’t explain why.
The shrinking stablecoin base makes the recovery look less convincing to me.
