Bitcoin and gold are the worst investments of 2026
Bitcoin and gold are both ending up at the bottom of the performance table in 2026. As of Oct 25, Bitcoin is down 7.3% and gold is down 7.5%, according to Charlie Bilello, strategist at Creative Planning. He says this is the first time in his tracked data, going back to 2011, that both assets finish a year at the very bottom.
The contrast with other major assets is stark. The broad commodity basket is up 52.5%, large-cap U.S. stocks are up 12.3%, and short-term U.S. Treasury bills are yielding 2.9%.

Finally seeing some movement on $XMR . Breaking above the 15-minute MA99 is the signal I wanted to see. Let's see if buyers can actually keep this momentum going. Today's active coins: $ZEC : Current price 1,232.13 - 24-hour gain: +2.58%$ETH : Current price 2,322.12 - 24-hour gain: +0.62%

Those who crunch all these fine-grained numbers are basically incapable of holding Bitcoin long-term.

Today at Nasdaq in New York, BNB Standard rang the opening bell to celebrate its name change and new CEO.
CZ was there in person, and his voice even trembled a little during his speech—he was clearly emotional. Looking back, he said that when BNB first launched in 2017, it was just a simple token, without even its own chain. He never imagined that nine years later he would be standing here ringing the bell.
The company holds the world's largest corporate BNB treasury, with more than 500,000 tokens, and plans to run validator nodes on-chain.
Put simply, this opens a door for traditional capital

10.27 ETH Analysis
Analysis: Short on a rebound near 2340-2350, with a stop at 2365; first target 2310, second target 2295
The 1H chart shows the price continuing to pull back from the local high of 2364.39, then starting a choppy rebound after reaching a low of 2292.00. The current price is 2321.57. The overall downtrend remains unchanged, and this rebound is a weak recovery after the decline. Moving average resistance overhead is significant, and the bulls lack momentum to extend the advance. Rebound volume on the 1-hour timeframe is weak, with insufficient buying support, making a rejection

ETH's one-hour chart shows structural recovery after bottoming consolidation. The fractal support formed during the previous dip has proven valid, with the price stabilizing and rising from the lower Bollinger Band area, gradually returning to trade above the middle band. The band width continues to narrow, indicating short-term entropy reduction and buildup. Net capital inflows are supporting the market, bearish momentum is fading, and selling pressure is gradually weakening. The current move is an intermediate consolidation with a sideways-to-bullish bias, not an accelerat

$ETH This price action really is impressive. Even when the broader market got crushed, it only dipped a little, and at the first sign of a bounce it charged harder than anything else. I’ve added to my position again, bringing my cost basis down to 865. Altcoins are altcoins—they can’t keep bouncing back this fiercely every time they fall. Sooner or later, there’ll be a real sell-off. $ZEC I’m getting closer to my 865 break-even point, which is actually a good thing for me. I’m not expecting it to rally back immediately; it can just keep drifting down slowly like this.

Why might the real competitive barrier for payment systems be liquidity, rather than blockchain?
In the Web3 payments space, many projects emphasize faster transaction speeds, lower fees, and more advanced blockchain technology.
These capabilities do matter.
But if a business needs to pay an overseas supplier, or a user needs to convert stablecoins into local currency, what truly determines the payment experience may not be whether a transaction is completed in seconds, but whether funds can be exchanged smoothly at a reasonable price.
This brings us to a key concept: liquidity.

Gold remains bullish in the medium to long term, and this pullback offers an opportunity to buy in batches.
The outlook is based mainly on four reasons:
(1) Central banks are still buying
By the end of August this year, global central banks had disclosed net gold purchases of about 170 tons, including 123 tons bought by Poland and 103 tons by China.
Central banks buy gold as a long-term reserve and hold it for a long time. This sustained buying is an important reason to be bullish on gold.
(2) ETF holdings increased even as gold prices pulled back
In the third quarter, global gold ETFs added 2
I waited two months for this license, and when it finally came through, the stock took a hit first.
The second federal license really was approved on Monday.
The first stock fell 7% overnight.
Ripple’s national trust bank received final OCC approval on Monday; Circle got its approval in July.
This license covers RLUSD reserves and custody—it has nothing to do with buying pressure for the XRP token.
The token price rose just 1.36% to 1.31.
Circle closed at 79.84, down more than 7% on the day.
With another federally regulated peer on the scene, the scarcity premium needs to be recalculated.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 1.7% on Oct. 27, led by AI and semiconductor-related stocks. Kioxia gained 6.8%, SoftBank Group rose 6.0%, and Advantest climbed 7.3%.
The rally highlights continued interest in AI infrastructure, memory chips, and semiconductor testing.
For Bitcoin, stronger tech stocks may signal improved risk appetite, but they don’t guarantee crypto inflows. Watch earnings, rates, and actual fund flows.
