BTC started rebounding on Monday!
Another early morning, another dip to the 80800 support level, and another rebound! The same script has played out three times already! Those of you calling for 72000, how are your short positions doing?
This time, the rebound could reach 82854–83766. It needs to hold above 82180 to stop the decline, and above 83500 to keep moving up. Otherwise, it’ll continue consolidating in this range for a while, like Pan Jinlian swinging on a swing, with temptation all around her skirt—afraid you won’t be able to resist!

SOL stabilized and rebounded after retesting the previous low of 100.35, with the short-term price recovering to around 105. The daily chart remains in a broader downtrend. This rebound is merely a short-term correction within the downtrend and has not changed the overall trend.
On the 4-hour chart, price is testing overhead resistance. A sharp rebound on the hourly chart has pushed indicators higher, quickly releasing short-term bullish momentum. The previous high near 107 is a clear resistance level. Continue to favor shorting rallies.
Short SOL around 107–109, targeting the 102–100 level. I

#ShareWeekly #WarshIMFSpeech Warsh said nothing, and the market loved it: what Bangkok really told us about rates and BTC
Sometimes the loudest message from a central banker is the one he refuses to send. In Bangkok, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh sat down with IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva and gave traders no hint about the next rate move. The result was a relief bounce across dollars, stocks and crypto. Here is my read on the two questions everyone is asking.
Hawkish or dovish? Neither, and that is the story
Warsh stuck to price stability and refused to prejudge upcoming meetings. He also skipped forward guidance and pointed to central banks tightening in sync around the world, which tells us inflation is a global fight, not just an American one. He called the surge in investment the biggest upside force in the global economy. Sounds upbeat, but it also leaves the door open to keeping rates high if prices stay stubborn.
Why did silence feel like a gift? Look at what came before it. September CPI hit 3.7% against 3.6% expected. Producer prices jumped 1.3% on the month and 6.3% on the year, with energy up 10.8%, and core PPI rose 0.7% against a 0.3% forecast. With numbers that hot, one hawkish sentence could have shaken every market. It never came. Traders took the absence of a warning as relief, not as a dovish turn.
Is another October hike still on the table?
It is, but the market sees it as a long shot. The implied chance of a hike in two weeks dropped from around 27% to 15% after he spoke, and rate futures showed a similar move, from 28% to 14.9%. Still, do not write the hawks off. New York Fed President John Williams has said one more hike this year is appropriate. The next policy meeting is October 27-28, and between now and then, inflation prints, energy prices and any change in Fed language will decide the odds. One more hot reading could push them back up fast.
How the rest of the market answered
The reaction was a clean risk-on whisper:
- The dollar slid to a fresh 10-day low near 101.80, with the euro up and the Australian dollar near 0.6950.
- The 10-year Treasury yield held near 5.08%.
- S&P 500 futures traded near 7,800 and Nasdaq 100 futures near 30,150.
- Korea's KOSPI, which crashed 7.57% a day earlier, rose 2.05% to close at 5,668.05, its first higher close in eight sessions.
- Gold dipped toward $4,073 on hike bets, then recovered as the dollar and yields eased.
What it means for Bitcoin
BTC got a relief bounce, not a new trend. It jumped more than 2% in 24 hours to about $82,300 and sits near $81,650 now. The logic is simple: a softer dollar and calmer rate fears take pressure off risk assets.
The contrast with August is striking. When Warsh sounded clearly hawkish at Jackson Hole, Bitcoin slid below $77,000. This time the tone was neutral, and the market moved the other way. The message for traders is that Bitcoin reacts less to what the Fed does and more to what the Fed makes people fear.
There is a catch. One analysis rated the effect on BTC as mixed, because high rates could linger. And Bitcoin is still healing from this week's flush, when it dipped under $80,000 and liquidations approached $1 billion.
The levels I am watching
Support: the 50-day EMA at $80,443, then the 100-day EMA at $76,824 and the 200-day EMA at $75,751.
Resistance: a daily close above $82,538 would open the way toward $84,049 to $84,250.
Danger line: a close below $80,443 puts $80,206 and the recent low near $79,694 back in play.
Three paths into the Fed meeting
The rally path: inflation cools or hike odds drop further, and BTC pushes through $82,538 toward $84,250.
The range path: no catalyst, and BTC chops between $80,400 and $83,000.
The pullback path: hot data lifts hike odds above 30%, the dollar firms up and BTC retests $80,000.
My take
Warsh did not hand the market a script, so traders are writing their own, and expectations can flip quickly. I lean toward a modest relief move, with the Fed meeting and the next inflation reports as the real tests. I am keeping leverage low, treating $80,000 as the line in the sand and calling any rally conditional until the data agrees.
Now it is your turn, Gate Square. Are you seeing Warsh's silence as quietly hawkish or quietly dovish, and where do you think BTC goes before the October 27-28 meeting? Drop your call and your key level in the comments.

I just saw a lot of people calling Pi garbage. I don’t want to argue with anyone, but I hope you’ll look at the broader market: Bitcoin is falling📉, and all coins are following suit. As the saying goes, when the nest is overturned, no egg remains intact.
The other coins you bought have also seen their profits pull back to varying degrees.

Bitcoin’s Institutional Adoption Could Fuel the Next Bull RunBitcoin may be entering a completely different phase.
Michael Saylor says BTC is moving into a new bull market, fueled by growing adoption from global banks and the recognition of Bitcoin as digital capital.
If banks begin building significant credit and financial products around BTC, the liquidity impact could be massive.
Institutional adoption is no longer just a narrative — it could become the engine behind Bitcoin’s next major move.
$BTC remains one of the biggest stories in the market.

ETH is showing a weak recovery today. After dipping to the short-term support around 2390 in the early session, it rebounded slightly and is currently quoted at 2422. The rebound is notably weaker than BTC, with highs clearly stepping down, and the overall market remains under pressure and range-bound.

On the daily chart, the price is trading below the 5-day and 10-day moving averages, while the short-term moving averages are bearishly aligned and acting as resistance. The MACD green bars continue to expand, and the RSI is hovering in the neutral-to-low range. Bulls lack volume support. On t

Goldman Sachs is going deeper into digital assets.
The bank says it’s investing in digital-asset companies and building its own infrastructure for tokenized bonds, money-market funds and real estate.
This is bigger than a Bitcoin narrative.
Traditional finance is building for an on-chain future, and that could become a major catalyst for crypto adoption over time.

Gate BTC and ETH Futures Trading Volume: Can the Momentum Continue? In my view, the momentum Gate is seeing in the derivatives market could persist; however, sustainable growth depends on whether this increased trading activity is driven by lasting demand rather than mere short-term speculation. The reported figures are encouraging: with BTC and ETH in an uptrend, Gate ranks among the top three exchanges globally for futures trading volume in both assets, with BTC futures volume reaching approximately $7.18 billion over a 24-hour period. Nevertheless, high futures trading volume alone does not confirm a sustained upward trend. While it indicates active trading, investors must distinguish between genuine market expansion and activity driven primarily by leveraged positioning and rapid-fire trading. What will determine whether Gate’s momentum continues? 1. Sustained price appreciation for BTC and ETH If spot prices continue to rise alongside healthy futures activity, the rally may attract further investor interest. If volume increases while prices stagnate, the movement could be fueled by short-term speculation. 2. Open interest confirms participation Rising prices accompanied by an increase in open interest may suggest that new positions are entering the market. Conversely, a decline in open interest could signal the closing of positions or a reduction in leverage. 3. Sustainable funding rates Extremely positive funding rates may indicate an overcrowded long-biased market, increasing the risk of a "long squeeze" should prices reverse. Moderate funding rates, occurring alongside rising prices, would serve as a healthier signal. Three possible scenarios Scenario | Observations | Implications for Gate Continuation of the uptrend | BTC/ETH prices rise; open interest increases steadily | Futures activity may remain strong Consolidation | Prices move sideways; volume decreases | Trading activity may normalize Sharp reversal | Prices fall; leverage decreases | Liquidations and volatility may increase Key takeaway Gate’s position among the top three platforms for BTC and ETH futures is a meaningful indicator of trading activity and market participation. While a BTC volume of approximately $7.18 billion is significant, a 24-hour volume figure alone cannot determine whether this momentum is sustainable. A useful distinction: a recent report from October 16 noted that BTC futures volume on Gate stood at approximately $7.47 billion, with ETH futures volume at $6.58 billion—all while total futures volume across the broader market was in decline. This suggests that Gate has maintained a strong relative position even as overall market activity has slowed. My view: Cautiously positive, but not definitively bullish. The strongest confirmation would be sustained increases in BTC and ETH prices, stable or rising open interest, and funding rates that do not indicate excessive leverage. These indicators are useful for assessing market conditions; they are not a guarantee of future returns or trading volume. Yes, I would start by looking at BTC futures, then examine ETH to assess whether the momentum is spreading across the broader market. The most useful metrics to analyze are: * Open interest: Is new capital entering the market, or are investors closing out their positions? * Funding rates: Are long positions becoming overcrowded? * Long/short ratio: Is the positioning becoming one-sided? * Liquidations: Is the upward movement driven by short squeezes or by sustained buying? * Price and volume: Does the trading activity confirm the price trend? My priority is to determine whether the $7.18 billion in 24-hour BTC futures trading volume reported by Gate reflects sustainable participation or merely a temporary spike in leveraged trading. BTC and ETH Futures: October 18, 2026 The key question is whether both assets are attracting new positions, or if the recent rally is primarily driven by leveraged traders. While current market data offers a basis for initial comparison, it should be noted that data sources may have different update schedules and should not be considered perfectly synchronized. 1. Current derivatives market data Bitcoin (BTC) Gate USDT perpetual futures Price $81,403 Funding rate +0.006% Open interest: approx. $4.10 billion · 24-hour volume: approx. $1.01 billion Ethereum (ETH) Gate USDT perpetual futures Price $2,413 Funding rate +0.007% Open interest: approx. $1.96 billion · 24-hour volume: approx. $1.84 billion Gate Futures market data. These figures represent a snapshot in time and do not guarantee execution prices. Initial assessment: Both funding rates are positive, which—in the context of perpetual futures contracts—means that holders of long positions are making payments to holders of short positions. Notably, despite ETH having a lower market price, its trading volume exceeds that of BTC. While this situation points to an active trading environment, it does not reveal which asset carries a stronger expectation regarding its future direction. 2. Open Interest and Positioning Broader market data adds significant detail to the initial figures. Indicator BTC ETH Open Interest Trend Global BTC futures open interest decreased by 1.14% over 24 hours Funding Positive; the Gate BTC rate is approximately +0.0059% based on recent data Positive (per Gate data) Positioning Signal Potential deleveraging Potential reduction in positions Assessment Neutral to cautious Neutral to cautious Note: The open interest data for ETH covers only a specific exchange rather than the entire market; therefore, a direct comparison between the two datasets is not possible. A decline in open interest alongside rising prices may suggest that short-position holders are closing their positions, rather than new buyers entering the market aggressively. This distinction is crucial when evaluating the sustainability of a price rally. 3. Liquidations: Is leverage driving this movement? According to recent broad market data, approximately $25.91 million in liquidations occurred over a 24-hour period; of this, $17.87 million consisted of long-position liquidations, while $8.04 million involved short-position liquidations. This imbalance indicates that, during the observed period, leveraged long positions suffered greater losses than short positions. However, this does not prove that BTC or ETH has reached a market bottom. For confirmation of a stronger bullish trend, I would look for the following: * Prices stabilizing or rising following the liquidation of long positions. * Open interest beginning to recover in tandem with price. * Funding rates remaining moderate rather than experiencing a sudden spike. * Spot market buying supporting the price action, rather than futures market activity doing all the heavy lifting. 4. What should be monitored next? Bullish confirmation BTC and ETH prices rise, open interest expands gradually, and funding rates remain moderate. Sideways market Prices stabilize, while open interest and trading volume remain low. Bearish warning Prices fall and open interest rises as new short positions are opened, or crowded long positions trigger another wave of liquidations. BTC: Given the scale of the futures market, a recovery in open interest and sustained spot demand are particularly important. The recent decline in total open interest does not yet confirm a broad increase in leveraged participation. ETH: In the snapshot provided, ETH’s futures turnover on Gate is higher than that of BTC; however, higher turnover alone does not prove stronger bullish conviction. ETH requires the same confirmation across price, open interest, and funding rates. Gate (General): Current figures indicate active derivatives trading, yet evidence of sustainable bullish momentum remains insufficient. The next decisive signal will be whether BTC and ETH prices rise in conjunction with renewed growth in open interest, rather than merely experiencing a short-lived surge in volume

My view on today’s broader market: Range-bound trading is still the main outlook. The key is whether BTC can break above $83,000 convincingly.
Over the past few days, BTC has mostly traded within the $80,000–$83,000 range, and its daily-chart rebound remains limited. Market sentiment is gradually cooling, and without fresh news catalysts, there has yet to be a clear directional breakout in the short term.
Over the past 5 crypto ETF trading days, institutional funds have seen cumulative net outflows of around $593 million, indicating that some investors are still reducing exposure to manage ris
