It just announced an electricity-related initiative, proposing that AI data centers cover the costs of their own power use and grid construction.
It even said that in the future, data centers should not just be power consumers, but should also proactively give up some of their power during peak demand.
Although it remains unclear how this will be implemented in practice, their stance—and the timing of the announcement—are both quite telling.
