I said earlier this morning that a quick reclaim of 76550 would mean this selloff was just a fake breakdown to bait shorts.
The market played out as expected. When the Democrats took the House, BTC quickly dipped to 75736, briefly breaking key support as panic selling surged.
But just an hour later, the price reclaimed 76550 and rebounded all the way to a high of 78718, before pulling back to 78430. The move was indeed favorable to shorts, but the panic didn’t last.
