Rates unchanged, but the market still can't sleep! Can one sentence from the Fed chair send BTC on a roller coaster?
#美联储利率决议倒计时 #WeeklyShowcase
The Fed kept rates unchanged this time, but what the market really wants to hear may not be those numbers, but Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's stance on future policy.
First, a quick correction: the Fed chair at this meeting was Kevin Warsh, not Powell. So when following his remarks, don't treat financial news like a TV series and get the lead character wrong!
Investors should watch for the inflation outlook, the economic outlook, and whether further rate hi

Prices either rise or fall, so why can someone lose on a long and still lose after switching to a short? Because the two trades took place at different price levels and times.
Here’s a simplified example that ignores fees: The price rises from 100 to 110, and someone sees the uptrend and jumps in with a long. The price then falls back to 105, and they close the long at a loss.
Next, they think the market will keep falling, so they open a short at 105. But the price rebounds to 110, and they close the short at another loss.
Looking back, the price only moved back and forth between 105 and 110,

What Is the Long/Short Ratio? Why Can Prices Still Rise Even When Shorts Seem to Have the Upper Hand?
In the cryptocurrency market, many traders pay attention to the long/short ratio. When data shows a higher proportion of shorts, some believe prices should continue to fall; when the proportion of longs is higher, others think an uptrend is more likely to continue.
But markets do not simply determine prices by a vote among traders. The long/short ratio reflects the distribution of positions or accounts under a specific methodology, not a direct answer about future prices.
First, what exactly i

Gold Meets Crypto Trading Platforms! Gate Launches 7×23 Gold CFDs—Are Traditional Investing Rules About to Change?
Gold has long been a veteran of the financial markets, while crypto trading platforms are known for trading efficiency and a digital-first experience. Now, Gate has launched 7×23 gold CFD trading, bringing these two trading experiences closer together.
What’s really worth paying attention to is not how novel the name sounds, but how user needs are changing: investors want more flexible access to different assets and want to respond to price fluctuations more promptly.
However, don

Crypto News | Datavault AI shares plunge 50% after disclosing it cannot withdraw Bitcoin from exchange Biconomy, forced to restate $92 million in financial data
The most noteworthy thing isn’t that Datavault AI’s stock was cut in half in a single day, but that it exposed one of crypto’s most uncomfortable wounds: does Bitcoin “booked off-chain” on an exchange really belong to you?😂
Shares plunged nearly 50% in a single day, with trading volume surging to 244 million shares, and closed at $0.067. The brutal crash was triggered by the company’s own disclosure that it has been unable to withdraw

Why do large orders sometimes need to be executed in batches? Is splitting orders always more cost-effective?
In the cryptocurrency market, placing a large order all at once may not be the best choice. The order may consume multiple price levels, causing the average execution price to deviate from expectations. As a result, some traders may consider splitting a large order into several smaller ones.
But splitting orders is not a guaranteed way to profit; it addresses execution issues, not guarantees of trading profits.
First, why can large orders affect execution prices?

Why can an order book look deep, yet liquidity suddenly disappear when you actually place an order?
In crypto markets, you may sometimes see large buy orders stacked in the order book and assume there is strong support below. But when prices start falling rapidly, those buy orders can quickly disappear, and a market that seemed stable can suddenly become fragile.
Why does this happen?
First, limit orders can be canceled at any time.
The order book shows currently visible limit orders, not completed trades. Traders can modify or cancel orders as market conditions change. So large orders only in

₿ BTC is still range-bound, but the Fed has made its move! Is this a breakout opportunity or another fakeout?
#美联储利率决议倒计时 #WeeklyShare
The Fed held interest rates steady, and the crypto market finally got its answer. But here’s the question: Why should BTC necessarily rise just because rates didn’t change?
The market isn’t a vending machine that starts with the press of a button. Expectations may already be priced in, and what often really affects the market is the gap between the outcome and expectations.
If investors believe rates will remain high, dollar liquidity and risk appetite may con

How can you use your maximum tolerable loss to work backward and determine a reasonable position size for each trade?
In crypto trading, many people think first about how much to buy or how much leverage to use when opening a position, without calculating in advance: if their trade thesis is wrong, exactly how much could they lose?
A more disciplined approach is to first determine the maximum tolerable loss, then work backward from the entry price and stop-loss distance to find a reasonable position size. This method can help traders apply consistent risk standards and avoid arbitrarily increa

#GateFirstToLaunchGoldCFD7X23Trading #ShareWeekly : Weekend Trading Is Here, But the 50x Cap Is the Real Story
Gate has become the first platform in the industry to extend gold CFD (XAUUSD) trading into the weekend, launching a 7×23-hour schedule now in beta for select users. The feature gives traders more time to manage positions when news breaks outside traditional market hours. But the most important detail isn't the extended access—it's the 50x leverage cap on new weekend positions, and what that reveals about the risks of trading gold when liquidity thins.

Warsh held another press conference where he said basically nothing. 🤣
As expected, the Fed held steady and left interest rates unchanged.
Of the 12 votes, 2 were for a rate hike. Even Governor Cook, who hadn’t cast a dissenting vote since taking office, raised her hand. The 10-year Treasury yield immediately climbed above 5.05%.
Even more audaciously, Warsh casually changed the rules: starting the year after next, there’ll be only 6 meetings a year when rates can be changed.
Asked about the midterms, he said politics plays no role in policy decisions and that the path forward depends on the
