The community has differing definitions of “spam transactions,” and the Bitcoin Core team has adopted a mild filtering strategy, not reviewing transactions that pay normal fees. Meanwhile, some far-right members strongly oppose accepting inscription-type content.

This policy change involves the legality of on-chain data storage, while also relating to multiple dimensions such as network efficiency, miner earnings, and anti-censorship.
