AI companies are racing to build data centers, but residents worry about rising electricity bills! How big is OpenAI’s investment gamble?

AI has shown humanity new possibilities for technological development, but data centers have also made some communities worry about their electricity bills.
During the U.S. midterm elections, data center construction drew attention. Some voters expressed concerns about large data center projects through local voting.
In response to these changes, OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar said the company would continue investing in data centers and would not change course bec

The Market Is Moving Beyond Political Headlines: Why Capital Is Becoming More Selective

Financial markets often react positively when uncertainty disappears, but maintaining that momentum requires something much stronger: solid economic data, corporate earnings, institutional demand, and confidence in future growth. This is exactly what we are witnessing following the recent US midterm elections.

Initially, the political outcome created a wave of optimism across financial markets. Investors welcomed the reduction in political uncertainty, triggering a recovery in risk-sensitive assets. Bitcoin climbed from the $76,000 region to above $80,000, while equities experienced a broad improvement in sentiment.

However, the market quickly entered a different phase. Instead of continuing to rise together, individual sectors started moving in opposite directions. In my view, this is not necessarily a sign that the recovery has ended. It reflects a transition from headline-driven buying toward a more selective investment environment.

1. Why Is the Equity Market Experiencing a Rotation?

One of the most interesting developments is the growing divergence between traditional industries and technology stocks.

Futures linked to the Dow Jones have demonstrated relative strength, supported by industrial and financial companies, while Nasdaq futures have faced pressure from technology and semiconductor weakness.

This suggests that investors are reconsidering where the next attractive returns might come from. After a strong rally in artificial intelligence-related stocks, some market participants are taking profits and reallocating capital toward companies with established earnings, more predictable cash flows, and potentially more attractive valuations.

A balanced barbell strategy could make sense in this environment. Rather than completely abandoning technology, investors can maintain selective exposure to innovative companies while diversifying into cyclical industries.

2. Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors: Opportunity or Valuation Risk?

AI infrastructure remains one of the strongest long-term investment themes, but expectations have become extremely demanding.

The semiconductor industry recorded global sales of approximately $517.7 billion in the third quarter, representing a 24.1% quarterly increase. Furthermore, strong supply-chain commitments and order visibility extending toward 2029 indicate that demand for advanced computing infrastructure remains significant.

Nevertheless, strong industry demand does not automatically guarantee higher stock prices. Investors are increasingly questioning whether future earnings can justify current valuations.

The upcoming November 17 earnings report from a major semiconductor manufacturer could become an important catalyst. I would particularly monitor revenue guidance, memory pricing, AI-related orders, and management's expectations for future demand.

For short-term traders, this sector offers opportunities, but earnings volatility and unexpected guidance should not be ignored.

3. Cloud Computing: The Profitability Test

Cloud computing represents another important opportunity, particularly for investors who prefer businesses with recurring revenue and stronger cash-flow visibility.

The three largest cloud providers collectively recorded 56% year-over-year revenue growth in the third quarter. This demonstrates the increasing importance of cloud infrastructure as companies expand their AI capabilities.

However, the investment narrative is changing. Previously, investors rewarded companies for announcing enormous AI infrastructure budgets. Now, they want evidence that those investments are generating measurable returns.

Companies demonstrating positive free cash flow, disciplined capital expenditure, and sustainable operating margins could attract greater institutional interest.

In my opinion, cloud computing deserves attention because its long-term growth story is supported by enterprise demand, digital transformation, and AI adoption.

4. Electric Vehicles: Recovery With Important Differences

The EV industry is also showing signs of improvement, although performance differs significantly between manufacturers.

One major manufacturer has delivered more than 480,000 vehicles for two consecutive quarters, while its automotive gross margin has improved to 18.5%. These developments suggest better operational performance and potentially stronger profitability.

On the other hand, another major manufacturer continues to lead in overall delivery volume but faces pressure from declining domestic sales in China, reaching approximately 28%, alongside disappointing earnings.

This difference highlights why investors should evaluate individual companies rather than treating the entire EV sector as one investment opportunity.

5. Bitcoin: Can Institutional Money Support the Recovery?

Bitcoin remains an important indicator of broader risk appetite.

After recovering above $80,000, the next challenge is maintaining that level through consistent demand rather than temporary optimism.

On November 4, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $74.6 million in net inflows, ending a three-day outflow period totaling around $1.16 billion.

This development is encouraging, but one positive session does not confirm a sustained institutional buying trend.

I would focus on several indicators: consecutive ETF inflows, trading volume, liquidity conditions, and Bitcoin's ability to hold important support levels during equity market weakness.

6. My Market Strategy: Follow Fundamentals, Not Headlines

My approach to this changing environment is relatively simple:

- Short-term opportunities: Monitor semiconductor stocks, earnings announcements, and volatility around major corporate guidance.
- Medium-term positioning: Focus on cloud companies with improving cash flow and sustainable business models.
- Long-term opportunities: Watch AI infrastructure, selected EV manufacturers, and companies benefiting from structural technological changes.
- Crypto market: Track Bitcoin ETF flows, institutional demand, and price confirmation before assuming the recovery has enough strength to continue.

The most important lesson from this rotation is that a rising market does not mean every asset deserves equal attention.

The political uncertainty may have decreased, but the investment challenge has become more demanding. Capital is moving toward businesses that can demonstrate real earnings, sustainable growth, and financial discipline.

My final perspective: I believe the next major market opportunity will come from identifying which companies can convert strong demand into actual profitability. AI, cloud computing, semiconductors, electric vehicles, and Bitcoin all deserve attention, but timing and selectivity will matter more than simply following market excitement.

What do you think will lead the next market move: AI and semiconductor stocks, cloud computing, electric vehicles, or Bitcoin?

Let's discuss your market outlook in the comments.

This is my market perspective, not financial advice.

Morning, everyone! I pulled open the curtains, sunlight poured in, and I casually checked the market. The exhaustion from staying up all night vanished in an instant—our batch of long positions entered at low levels last night has finally paid off. Everything is in the green!
Let’s take a look at this morning’s scorecard. It’s a real pleasure to see:
$SO: Average entry price 90.45, current price 91.40, unrealized profit +21.12U (ROI +21.12%)! This one is still the star of the show, holding firmly above 91. We’ve got 21U in profit, with a margin ratio of 1084%. We absolutely nailed the rhythm o

Before vs. Now: Security Gets an Upgrade

Imagine checking your Gate account one morning and realizing that protecting your digital assets is not just about setting a strong password anymore. You also need protection against unauthorized access and transfers.

The Fear & Greed Index is only 28, yet the most unusual thing has happened: $WLD funding is at -0.0094%, meaning shorts are paying to hold their positions, but the price has not accelerated downward; instead, it is grinding near the lower Bollinger Band around 0.3294 on declining volume. This suggests that bearish sentiment has already been priced in quite fully by shorts, and the risk-reward of chasing further downside is worsening.
At the broader market level, $BTC is currently at 75792, down just -0.14% over 24h. MA5 is slightly below MA20, RSI is 43.7, and the 30-candle range is only 0.9

Who is buying in the Bitcoin market? The U.S. premium index has been negative for 44 consecutive days, and capital flows are revealing an important signal!

Many investors watch Bitcoin’s price every day, happy when it rises and worried when it falls, but overlook a more important question: who exactly is buying?
Recently, the premium index has been negative for 44 consecutive days, making it a signal that has drawn attention in the crypto market.
Put simply, if Bitcoin’s price is lower than on other major trading platforms, it usually indicates relatively weak buying demand in the U.S. market

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the Cybertruck’s order backlog far exceeds production capacity ahead of next year’s planned production-line teardown to expand Cybercab capacity, so the company will add extra shifts.

Tesla says orders are strong while planning to dismantle the production line next year. Adding shifts addresses delivery speed, but doesn’t change the Cybertruck’s planned phaseout on Tesla’s roadmap.

Is the Fed about to change course? Nonfarm payrolls beat expectations, and a December rate hike has suddenly become a popular option!

The most exciting thing about markets is that you should never put too much faith in yesterday’s predictions.
Just a few days ago, investors were still discussing when the Fed would cut rates; now, the release of the U.S. October nonfarm payrolls report has quickly shifted market sentiment.
The economy added 165k jobs, far above expectations of 65k. The unemployment rate fell to 4.1%, and average hourly earnings rose 0.4%. Taken together, these three figures se

The 4-hour chart has given a signal. ETH has printed two doji candles over two days, and BTC printed one today. The risk-reward ratio here is high, so this is definitely a trade to take. 87,000 is no resistance at all because 83,000 has already been broken and the downtrend is over. If Wave 3 starts from here, it could go straight to 100k. We also saw a move from 75,000 to 81,000 in a single day the day before yesterday, so there’s no shortage of momentum. We’ll have the result tomorrow, Monday. This is just my personal view for reference

$GTC here? It feels like we’ve been watching this support line for a long time, waiting for a rebound that never seems to start. You’d think sellers should be running out of steam by now, but the chart is just stuck in this strange, quiet cycle.

Over the weekend, I pulled up the hottest name and looked at it again.
It’s been stuck between 1120 and 1400 for 20 days.
On October 29, it surged to 1398, then got slammed back to 1223 by the close.
On Friday, it tagged 1388 again and closed at 1323.
It failed to break through the upper end both times.
Now it’s at 1256.
I didn’t take the ETH trade; it never held above 2450.
BTC has barely moved over the past three days. The one that gave way was the hottest name.
I’m betting ZEC drops to 1150 before Wednesday.
If it gets back above 1320, I was wrong.

Is a regulatory storm about to hit the U.S. AI industry? Democrats plan to roll out a flurry of bills, putting tech giants to a new test!

As the artificial intelligence industry rapidly expands, debate over AI regulation is also heating up in U.S. politics.

It touched 291.14 once at 22:00; just that once
For the next ten hours, it kept sliding; the 23:00 candle saw 102,161 contracts dumped

Now at 284.74; 0.76 below the 20-day moving average at 285.50

The U.S. October CPI report will be released on November 10 at 8:30 a.m. ET. September CPI came in at 3.7% year over year, and markets will be watching closely for signs that inflation is cooling, especially in core CPI. A softer-than-expected reading could strengthen rate-cut expectations, while hotter inflation may pressure risk assets through higher Treasury yields and a stronger dollar. How do you think this CPI print will move $BTC, U.S. stocks and gold?
