CLARITY blocked: What the market is really dumping is not the bill, but “certainty”
The U.S. Senate vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act was not a final vote, but a procedural vote on whether the bill could enter formal consideration. The final result was 49 votes in favor and 50 against, falling short of the 60-vote threshold. The bill has therefore been temporarily blocked, but that does not mean it is completely dead. Republican Senator Tillis strategically voted against it and introduced a motion to reconsider, theoretically preserving room for a restart.
