Spot gold opened around 4510-4520 on Thursday, reached a high of around 4540, fell to a low of around 4450-4477, and closed around 4520-4521. It fluctuated at high levels throughout the day and ultimately closed virtually flat.
On Wednesday, gold prices surged nearly 4% in a single day due to the Ministry of Finance expanding long-term bond buybacks, falling yields, and a weaker U.S. dollar, closing near 4520. Thursday was high-level consolidation after the rally, with bulls and bears battling above 4500.
