This isn't a rebound—it’s just a tube inserted into an account that's barely hanging on. My last look before bed: overhead resistance was obvious, and every push higher fell just short, so I reversed and went short at 1.3889.
The current price hit 0.685, with a return of +997.89%. I timed this move right; the earlier wait wasn't in vain.
I closed 80% first to lock in profits, and set a solid protection level for the remaining 20%—don't get greedy for the last bite. Have a strategy before the session, discipline during it, and reflection afterward.

My DOGE Short: Project View, Chart Analysis and My Trade Review
1. My View on the DOGE Project
I see Dogecoin as a unique case in crypto. It started as a meme coin, but I respect its staying power. It has one of the largest and most loyal communities, high liquidity, and it is listed almost everywhere. For me, its strength is not technology, it is social consensus and brand recognition.
From my perspective, the weakness is clear: unlimited supply and inflationary tokenomics. This is why I never treat DOGE as a long-term value store in my own portfolio. I treat it a

Bitcoin & Ethereum starting to look a little uncomfortable here
$ETH is trapped between:
🟢 Support: $2,380
🔴 Resistance: $2,540
At the same time, $BTC is struggling around the $77K–$79K range.
And the liquidation numbers show there is already plenty of leverage in the market:
• ETH liquidations: $137.6M
• BTC liquidations: $95.8M
If #BTC loses $77K, the first area I’d watch is $74K–$75K.
But if the selling gets aggressive and $74K breaks, we could potentially see:
• $72,000
• $69,000
For ETH, a clean break below $2,380 would also make the chart much weaker. And possible for 2300 to 2180 zone

#Gate事件合约晒单挑战 Betting Logic: BTC September 1 Price ≥ 72,000 USDT
Written: 2026-08-31 10:00 UTC
Reference Current Price: 78,531.7 USDT (24h +0.65%)
Betting Premise: If BTC's price is above 72,000 at the settlement time (September 1, 24:00 UTC or the time specified by the platform), the outcome is "Yes"
This article outlines the betting logic and does not constitute investment advice
I. What Is Being Bet On
In one sentence: Betting that BTC will not plunge more than 8% over the next day or so.
The current price is around 78,500, and 72,000 provides a downside buffer of approximately 8.3% from the current price. This is not "betting that it will rise," but "betting that it will not collapse"—the logic is completely different. The former requires a directional judgment, while the latter only requires assessing tail risk.
II. Why This Bet Is Worth Taking (Logic Supporting "Yes")
First, the buffer is sufficiently thick. A decline from 78,531 to 72,000 would require an 8.32% drop; even starting from the intraday low of 76,999.9 over the most recent 24 hours, BTC would still need to fall another 6.49% to reach 72,000. Moreover, the 77,000 level was just hit by bears yesterday, but buying support absorbed the selling and pushed the price back above 78,500, indicating that this support is effective in the short term. To break below 72,000, the price would first have to break through a series of round-number levels—77,000, 76,000, 75,000, 74,000, and 73,000. If any one of them holds, the bet wins.
Second, the period before September 1 is a macroeconomic vacuum. The key events with the greatest potential market impact are all outside the window: nonfarm payrolls are not due until September 4, while CPI and the FOMC meeting are not due until September 15. In other words, during the period in which the bet is in effect, no major scheduled macroeconomic data is expected to suddenly trigger volatility, leaving the market without a "ticking time bomb."
Third, the higher-timeframe structure remains bullish. Moving averages on the daily chart are in a bullish alignment, BTC has gained approximately 1.86% over the past 7 days, and it is in a pullback-and-recovery phase of an uptrend rather than a continuation of a downtrend. The funding rate remains in the normal positive range at 0.0093, indicating healthy leverage sentiment and no extreme overcrowding of longs (which would instead make a cascade more likely).
Fourth, from a probability-model perspective, this is a deviation of approximately 3.8 standard deviations under a normality assumption. Based on recent daily volatility, the probability of naturally falling to 72,000 within a one-and-a-half-day window is extremely low. Of course, the crypto market's tail is much fatter than a normal distribution, which will be discussed in the risk section.
III. Under What Circumstances Would the Bet Lose (Risk Scenarios)
The risk for this bet is not a "slow grind lower," but a "flash crash." It is necessary to consider what situations could cause BTC to lose 8% within a day and a half:
Scenario One: A sudden black swan event. Major adverse regulatory developments, the collapse of a leading platform or project, an escalation of geopolitical conflict, and similar events. Historically, single-day declines of more than 10% in BTC are not uncommon (they occurred in May 2021, June 2022, and March 2020). If one occurs, 72,000 would be highly unlikely to hold.
Scenario Two: ETF outflows triggering a chain reaction. Spot ETFs are currently experiencing consecutive net outflows, with net outflows of approximately $200 million on the most recent day. If a large redemption of more than $500 million occurs in a single day, it could trigger panic selling among institutions and drive the price down rapidly.
Scenario Three: A cascade after 77,000 is lost. The current 15-minute ADX is only 6.7, indicating an extremely weak trend and poor directional conviction in the market, with sentiment prone to reversal. If 77,000 is decisively broken, technical stop-loss orders and liquidations of leveraged longs could create negative feedback, accelerating the decline—even though 72,000 is still 6.5% away, a slow grind lower combined with a cascade is a real risk in a weak environment.
Scenario Four: Continued suppression by major players. The current retail long-to-short ratio is slightly long at 1.11, but the long-to-short ratio among major accounts is only 0.0046, clearly bearish. If large funds actively short and exert downward pressure during the betting window, the downside risk will be amplified.
IV. Probability Assessment
The probability produced by a pure normal-distribution model is extremely high (99%+), but this figure cannot be taken at face value—the crypto market has a fat-tailed distribution, and extreme market conditions occur far more frequently than the model suggests.
Based on historical experience, under normal market conditions, the probability of BTC falling more than 8% in a single day is approximately 1%–3%; factoring in the three current negative factors—ETF outflows, bearish positioning among major players, and weak momentum—a revision upward to 3%–8% is more reasonable.
In other words, the approximate "win probability" of this bet is above 90%, but it is by no means a guaranteed win. The payout for winning is low (because the probability is already reflected in the price), while the cost of losing is a total loss, making this a typical "high win rate, low payout" bet.
V. Execution Recommendations
Position sizing comes first. Precisely because these bets have high win rates but low payouts, they are not suitable for heavy positions. It is recommended to treat this as a small allocation within the overall portfolio and keep the loss on any single bet within an affordable range, because if a black swan event occurs, the loss will be 100%.
Pay attention to the settlement time. Different platforms define "September 1" differently: if settlement occurs at September 1, 00:00 UTC, only several dozen hours remain in the window, making the risk lower; if settlement occurs at September 1, 24:00 UTC, the window is approximately a day and a half, and the risk rises accordingly. Confirm the settlement rules before placing an order, and do not make a judgment using the wrong definition.
Set exit conditions (if the platform supports early closing). A possible preset is: if BTC falls below 77,500 and the 15-minute candlestick cannot quickly recover, treat it as a signal that the logic has failed and consider exiting with a stop-loss; if BTC holds above 78,500, it indicates that bulls have regained control, and the position can be held until settlement.
VI. Pre-Bet Monitoring Checklist
Check the platform's definition of the settlement time (00:00 UTC or 24:00 UTC)
Confirm that the event contract has sufficient liquidity and that the bid-ask spread is reasonable
Monitor whether any sudden crypto regulatory news emerges over the next 24 hours (this is the biggest variable)
Observe whether ETF inflow and outflow data shows any major single-day anomaly
Keep an eye on the 77,000–77,500 support zone: if it holds, the bet is safe; if it breaks, reassess
Confirm that the position's share of total investments is within an affordable range
One-sentence summary: This is a "bet that it will not collapse." Its core is the 8.3% buffer + macroeconomic vacuum + bullish daily-chart structure. The estimated win rate is above 90%, but fat-tail risk means it can never be a guaranteed win—controlling position size, confirming the settlement time, and closely watching the 77,000 support are the three key actions for this bet.

GATE CAPITAL FLOW: $278M INFLOWS, LIQUIDITY, VOLUME & WHAT COMES NEXT
Gate is showing a powerful capital-flow signal, with approximately $278 million in seven-day net inflows and around $616 million in one-month inflows. This is important because net inflow measures the difference between capital entering and leaving the platform. Sustained positive inflows suggest that users are continuing to bring funds onto Gate for trading, derivatives, stablecoin positioning, holding and future deployment. Earlier readings also showed more than $36 million in 24-hour inflows, foll

Iran got bombed, oil jumped 3%, but gold is somehow still falling. On Sunday, the U.S. military bombed Larak Island, right by the Strait of Hormuz. Iran retaliated by firing missiles at a base in Jordan—the first exchange of fire in a month. WTI surged to 86 in one morning, and ExxonMobil followed with a 2.5% gain. Energy was the only sector still in the green today. Gold had just finished crashing on Friday. Guns are going off today, and it can’t even manage a bounce—it’s still sliding lower. The market isn’t panicking at all. It’s focused squarely on the oil shipping lane through the Strait

GATE EVENT CONTRACTS: 1% REWARD — HOW USERS CAN BENEFIT SMARTLY
Gate’s Event Contracts Trading Carnival is currently offering a total prize pool of 200,000 USDT, and in my opinion this deserves attention from active Gate users. The campaign runs from August 26 to September 2, 2026, and includes several reward opportunities rather than just one leaderboard.
The biggest headline is the 1% trading-volume reward. Users reaching 1,000,000+ USDT eligible trading volume can reach the 1% tier. The published levels are 0.40% for 100K–200K USDT, 0.60% for 200K–400K, 0.70% for 40

This was purely the market being in a good mood and casually sprinkling some gold coins, with one happening to land right on my head. Just after the bearish news came out, $ACE was still holding firm, but trading volume was low, the rebound lacked momentum, and resistance above was obvious. I knew right then that a low-volume rebound like this was a bull trap, so I went short, though I didn’t dare to take a heavy position—the direction was spot-on. Looking at ACE now, it came all the way from 0.1847 to 0.1683, with +217.73% in hand. This profit feels really good. Nailed it, brothers. Close 80%

A few days ago, I set a stop-loss before bed, and woke up laughing this morning. Before the market had fully kicked off, I noticed that $RAVE ’s price action was very strange. Volume hadn’t followed, and the sell-side pressure was strong—clearly, the shorts were positioning. Sure enough, the selloff began afterward.

I shorted at 0.5243, and it’s now at 0.2614, +1230.06%. Although it didn’t reach the ideal target, whatever profit you can take is good profit. I originally thought the profit on this trade would be paper-thin, but after that move, even paper can buy quite a few groceries.
