Market has been volatile enough that pair trading is becoming more interesting to me.
One of the ideas I like right now is long $LIT / short $HYPE .
Basically, reduce some beta, keep the alpha, so I don’t need to get the direction of the entire market right.
The thesis isn’t that HYPE is bad. Hyperliquid is still the leader in perps.
My view is simply that Lighter has more room left to rerate relative to Hyperliquid.
Instead of just longing LIT and hoping the whole market goes up, I can long the asset I think is being repriced faster and short another asset exposed to many of the same sector an

So $BTC is up today mainly because of the Clarity Act and the vote coming tomorrow from the US Senate.
Some people are adding more Bitcoin, and some are waiting on the sidelines just in case things go south. I think there will be positive news from the vote on September 15.
Big-time companies are still accumulating more Bitcoin regardless of what happens. In terms of a potential Fed Hike, the market has priced in some of that already.
I have a feeling there is good news from the Clarity Act and no Fed Hike coming this week.
