The US just opened the door to Russian diesel, and everyone is quoting the tonnage. I think the scale and the execution matter more than the headline, so here’s my read.
1. What changed
A general license issued on Oct 9 authorizes the sale, delivery, offloading and importation of Russian diesel, including into the US, and it’s valid through April 7, 2027. The US last imported Russian diesel in March 2022, so this is a real policy shift.

BTC tagged $81,000, bounced to $82,000, and the 24h drop has narrowed to about 1.5%. “Bulls and bears are battling” is true but useless, so here is what the daily chart actually says.
1. Why 81,000 matters
It’s not just a round number. On my daily chart it sits right on the 50-day MA (~80,950) and just under the 81,868 support line I’ve marked. That’s a confluence zone, which is why the bounce happened where it did.
