⚠️ Revolut sent passports, verification selfies, and COMPLETE Bitcoin transaction histories to a person posing as a government agency.
The incident is particularly concerning because the attacker allegedly did not use a simple address resembling that of a government body.
According to the notice sent by Revolut to the affected customers, the request came from an unauthorized account created directly on the actual domain of a government agency and had valid authentication credentials.
Revolut therefore considered it authentic before discovering the fraud by contacting the agency.
