The Fed will announce its decision at 2 p.m. today, and almost everyone in the market is watching this moment. But in my view, the real suspense isn’t whether they’ll raise rates. Rate futures put the odds of holding steady at around 95%, so there’s not much suspense left there. Whether they raise rates has already been largely priced in. What’s really worth watching is the dot plot and the wording of the statement: if the distribution of projected rate paths in the dot plot is even slightly more hawkish than the market expects, the 2-year Treasury yield and the U.S. Dollar Index could jump in

Weak, with $BNB currently at 702.6. The four-hour RSI has entered oversold territory, but oversold does not mean a bottom is in.
The four-hour trend is weak, and the one-hour trend is weak too. Price is still below the 1-hour moving average, and one-hour trading volume participation is less than half. In this situation, oversold looks more like evidence that selling pressure has already played out than a signal that buyers are willing to step in. If the trend is really going to turn stronger, why hasn't volume picked up along with this rebound after the decline? Demand for a rebound is increas

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, known as OPEC+, have reached a preliminary agreement to keep production targets unchanged for December. Three sources familiar with the matter confirmed the principle to Reuters. The decision follows a virtual meeting of seven key members, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Oman. The group had already maintained September 2026 production levels for November during its October 4 meeting.
This approach reflects the group's focus on market stability. Several members are producing below their

Oil markets entered the final trading session of October with Brent holding near 116 dollars a barrel and West Texas Intermediate near 103 dollars. This firmness is not random. It reflects two forces pulling in opposite directions. Maritime security risks are tightening the physical availability of crude, while rising United States output and shifting inventory data are working to cap prices.
The most immediate factor is the security situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the wider Gulf region. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, known as UKMTO, recorded more than 30 attacks on commercial vessels in October alone, the highest monthly total since the conflict with Iran began. Since February 28, the agency has logged 145 incidents. A recent example involved a tanker struck by two explosive devices near Khasab, Oman, which started a fire in the engine room. The vessel was disabled temporarily and the crew was reported safe. These events matter because the Strait of Hormuz carries about one fifth of the world oil supply. When tankers face direct risk, shipping and insurance costs rise, and physical crude becomes tighter.
This is where the supply side of the equation becomes critical. The United States Energy Information Administration, in its October edition of the Monthly Energy Review, estimated that United States petroleum stocks fell by about 3,941 thousand barrels per day in September. Crude inventories, including the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, stood near 705 million barrels, with the SPR at roughly 283 million. Continued draws thin the buffer that normally absorbs shocks, and that supports prices by tightening physical availability.
But the same EIA report also shows why the rally is not one-directional. United States crude production in September reached 13,486 thousand barrels per day, up from 13,421 in August. The active crude rig count in September was 452, well above the January to September average of 427. Rising output adds supply and works against higher prices. At the same time, petroleum product supplied, a proxy for demand, rose to 20,898 thousand barrels per day in September from 20,297 in August. Firmer demand absorbed part of the higher output and helped keep inventories drawing.
For you, this means the oil market is currently balancing two real risks. On one side, any escalation in the Strait of Hormuz or a new round of attacks on tankers could tighten supply further and push prices higher. On the other side, the EIA expects commercial crude stocks to rise toward 432 million barrels by the end of 2026. If that shift from draws to builds materialises, the physical tightness that supports current prices may ease. Analysts are watching whether product supplied can hold above roughly 20.8 million barrels per day, and whether tanker traffic through the Strait remains uninterrupted.
Markets are now focused on two signals. The first is the pace of attacks and the response from naval forces protecting commercial shipping. The second is the weekly inventory data and whether production growth continues to offset demand strength. Both directions remain possible. I am holding my positions and watching the market. Which of these two forces do you think will dominate the next move in oil.
This is not financial advice.

Funds flowed in, so why is the market still falling overall? The market “gap” revealed
Folks, there’s an interesting phenomenon: Gate recorded net inflows of $57.97 million yesterday, ranking second globally. You’d expect funds to come in to buy coins, so why is the market still falling overall?
This is what I want to talk about: the “gap between fund flows and price movements.”
Often, net inflows simply mean that funds have entered trading accounts, but they may not be used to buy coins. For example, many market makers or large investors may transfer funds to Gate to open short positions and

Funds are flowing in, so why is the broader market still falling? Uncovering the market’s “disconnect”
Guys, there’s an interesting phenomenon: Gate saw net inflows of $57.97 million yesterday, ranking second globally. In theory, money coming in is there to buy crypto—but why is the broader market still falling?
This is what I mean by the “disconnect between fund inflows and price movements.”
Often, net inflows only mean money has entered exchange accounts—but that money may not be used to buy crypto. For example, many market makers or large holders transfer funds to Gate to open short positions as a hedge, pursue lending arbitrage, or place limit orders at extremely low prices and wait.
That’s what the market is like right now. On the macro front, the Fed is firmly holding the line on not cutting rates, U.S. tech stocks are starting another round of declines, and big money is getting nervous too. That $50-plus million could very well be large investors transferring funds in to earn yield on stablecoins, or simply leaving them there as margin.
My strategy lately is to not fight the trend and keep plenty of cash on hand for opportunities.
After the previous few drops, I’ve cut my position to 50%. I’m sitting on U now, watching the broader market churn day after day. I’m in no rush to increase my position, because I know that without a fundamental shift in the macro environment, even more inflows will just be passing through.
I’d rather wait. Wait for the Fed’s decision to be fully priced in, and for this round of U.S. earnings landmines to be cleared. If BTC gets pushed down to $75,000 or even lower on bad news, I’ll have no hesitation about using this portion of my funds to scoop up bloodied chips. If it goes straight up, the 50% core position I’m holding will still earn a profit.
Money coming in doesn’t mean prices will rise right away. The biggest mistake retail traders make is rushing in as soon as they see positive data. What we need to do now is watch which pool this $58 million flows into: futures or yield products. Let them make the first move, then follow. That’s called “not casting your net until you see the rabbit.”
Do you think this latest inflow is for buying or for hedging?

Divergence; direction remains unconfirmed. $LSK is currently at 0.2456, with a sizable gain over the day, but the one-hour trend is weak and the price remains below the moving averages, while the four-hour trend is relatively strong. The two timeframes are giving completely opposite signals.
In this situation, the most dangerous thing is to look only at the timeframe that supports your view. Trading volume on the one-hour timeframe is almost nonexistent, and the rise lacks genuine market conviction; the four-hour strength looks more like an outdated signal that has yet to update.
