THE SETUP
SOL was testing an important $75–$76 support area after recent weakness. Instead of entering immediately, I waited for price to defend the zone and show a momentum-based confirmation.
Once buyers stepped in and the rebound began to develop, the setup offered a controlled entry around $76.80.
The goal was not to catch the biggest move. It was to take a confirmed setup while keeping downside clearly defined.

RSI: Recovering toward neutral
MACD: Early bullish crossover

The improving volume was an important part of the setup. Increasing participation during the rebound suggested that the move had stronger support than a purely low-volume bounce.

Support: $73.84 / $70.60
Immediate Resistance: $76.63
Major Resistance: $78–$79
The $78–$79 zone remains the real test. A move into this area does not automatically mean continuation — buyers need to prove they can break and hold above it.

Position risk was kept controlled, with no chasing after the initial move. The priority was always to protect capital first and allow the setup to develop naturally.

The profit itself was not the biggest takeaway. The execution was.
Waiting for confirmation around support helped avoid an early entry, while the predefined stop and target kept the trade structured.
WHAT THE CHART IS SAYING
SOL appears to have formed a technical bottoming structure across the $70.60–$76 range, with recovering volume and an attempt to move above the 50-day moving average.
However, the recovery is not fully confirmed yet.
The market still needs to overcome $78–$79 with sustained volume and momentum. Without that confirmation, the current move could remain a rebound inside a broader range.
NEXT TRADE PLAN
My focus is now simple:
Break + volume above $78–$79: reassess for continuation toward higher levels.
Rejection at $78–$79: wait for a controlled pullback toward $73.80–$75.
Loss of major support: step back and reassess rather than force another entry.
This was a reminder that profitable trading is not always about catching huge moves.
Sometimes the best trade is the one where you wait, confirm, manage risk and take what the market gives you.
SOL has improved technically, but $78–$79 remains the next major decision zone. Until that resistance is convincingly reclaimed, patience remains part of the strategy.
