Currently 95% of BTC has been mined, but 17% of it is "lost"*
As of Jan 2026: 19.97 million BTC have been mined = 95.12%. But around 17 million BTC are locked in institutions/treasuries + Satoshi's BTC that never moves = ~8.5% of supply. This means the BTC that can actually be traded on the market is far less than 21 million.
