Really unlucky.
Half a month ago, I noticed that everyone was talking about the Black Thursday effect in A-shares.
So I ran some statistics and backtested the “buy on Friday, sell on Wednesday” strategy since the beginning of this year.
As shown in Figure 1, as of August 12, with the CSI 300 in negative territory for the year, this simple strategy generated returns of nearly 20%.
