$JCT I was playing Honor of Kings when my left eyelid suddenly started twitching, so I rushed in to check. I’d already opened just the minimum-size short position, and I’m still down over ten bucks. Pumping more than 2x in a day is really something.

Where do profits come from when everyone is using similar trading strategies?

A question worth considering:

If a trading strategy really works, why can't it remain effective forever?

Suppose a simple breakout strategy was able to capture trends in past markets. As more and more traders discover this pattern, they begin buying at similar price levels and placing stop-losses at similar levels.

The initial edge may then change.

This involves an important concept: trading edges are affected by the behavior of market participants.

1. What happens when an edge is widely used?

First, trading a

Gold fell from 4,106 to 4,029, but is still up 5% this week—who’s buying, and who’s selling?

Gold’s moves on NFP night were far more interesting than the number itself. Before the data came out, gold was around 4,106, having touched a weekly high of 4,146. After the 165,000 print, spot gold plunged to 4,029.82, dropping nearly $60 and briefly falling more than 1%. Spot gold closed around 4,074, while futures fell $38.6, or 0.94%. On the chart, it was a solid down day.

But look at the weekly chart, and gold is up more than 5% this week, its best weekly performance since August. In other words

A trading strategy is in drawdown. Should you stick with it or stop in time?

Many traders face a difficult question:

A strategy performs well in historical backtesting. But after being deployed in live trading, it suffers a string of losses.

At this point, it’s easy to make one of two mistakes:

One is to conclude the strategy has failed after just a few losses and constantly switch methods.

The other is to believe the strategy will eventually recover, no matter how much the losses grow.

In fact, to determine whether a strategy has failed, you shouldn’t just look at whether it has made or

Bitcoin is first crypto. It has fixed supply of 21M coins. New coins come from mining. Halving cuts new supply every 4 years. Token is used as store of value, pay tool, and hedge. Large buyers hold it as reserve. BTC leads the whole market. When BTC moves, alts follow.

The Fed decides on rates again on October 28. Since the start of the year, WTI crude is up about 73%, and household inflation expectations have risen by half a percentage point. Core inflation sits where it started the year, but September's CPI, covered here last week, came in above forecasts on both the annual headline and core rates.

Yields have climbed too. The two-year Treasury yield, which tracks where traders expect policy rates to go, has risen by more than full percentage point this year, to 4.8%. It now sits well above the 4% top of the Fed's target range, even after the hike on Sep

Don’t treat it like chips on a gambling table; treat it like a small shop you’ve taken over. Change your perspective, and a lot of things start to make sense.
① Rent is your trading fees
You have to pay rent from the first day you open, whether you have customers or not.
Trading is the same—once you place an order, fees start adding up, whether you make money or not.

$BMT Here’s a short trade idea, guys. Feel free to use it as a reference.
A rebound is an opportunity for bears, so I’m choosing to enter a short position decisively this time. I’m placing my limit order near 0.02491, with a stop-loss at 0.02688. If the price breaks above it, I’ll admit I’m wrong and exit.
I’m setting three downside targets: the first at 0.02400, the second at 0.02300, and the final target at 0.02237. Take profits in stages and lock in gains.
Markets can change in an instant. Futures trading carries risks, so follow trades with caution, and remember to use a stop-loss. (The a

The U.S. October CPI report will be released on November 10 at 8:30 a.m. ET. September CPI came in at 3.7% year over year, and markets will be watching closely for signs that inflation is cooling, especially in core CPI. A softer-than-expected reading could strengthen rate-cut expectations, while hotter inflation may pressure risk assets through higher Treasury yields and a stronger dollar. How do you think this CPI print will move $BTC, U.S. stocks and gold?
