Backtest returns look great, so why is live trading still losing money?
A trading strategy performs well on historical data, with high annualized returns, an impressive win rate, and limited drawdowns. But once you commit real capital, you may find that your profits fall far short of expectations—or that you even start losing money consistently.
The problem may not be that backtesting is meaningless, but that there are several easily overlooked gaps between historical simulations and real trading.
First, fees constantly eat into returns.
If a strategy trades frequently, fees that seem small on

What is the difference between limit orders and market orders? How should you choose during sharp market volatility?
When trading in crypto markets, order types affect not only execution speed but also the actual execution price. Especially when the market suddenly becomes highly volatile, even if you correctly predict the direction of the market, different order execution methods can lead to completely different outcomes.
First, limit orders: control the price, but do not guarantee execution.
A limit order lets you set the price you are willing to buy or sell at. A buy limit is usually set at

Why might a trading strategy that performs well in backtesting fail in live markets?
A trading strategy may deliver strong returns and a high win rate in historical backtests, with even its maximum drawdown well controlled, yet produce completely different results once deployed in the market. The problem may not necessarily lie with the strategy itself, but could stem from the gap between backtesting and live trading.
First, historical data does not represent the future. Backtesting can only assess a strategy’s performance under specific historical market conditions. Market structure, volatili

The bull market is still on, right? 🤔
If it drops, watch around 2136 first.
If it breaks below 2136 and reclaims it, then consider going long. #加密杠杆头寸24小时清算15亿美元

#BTC大跌 Current market conditions do not favor rushing to buy the dip. This downturn reflects both deleveraging and weakening momentum, but the trust shock from the suspected An'an hack makes a “fall first, then stabilize” scenario harder to play out.
As of October 30 at 18:06, Bitcoin was trading at $77,468, down about 3.28% intraday[1]. It had already fallen below the $81,000, $80,000, $79,000, and $78,000 levels in succession.

Why does the same trading strategy stop working when the market changes?
Some traders face a puzzling problem: the same entry signal repeatedly generates profits in an uptrend, but triggers consecutive stop-losses in a ranging market; just as they adapt to range-bound conditions, a trend emerges and they frequently miss opportunities.
This doesn't necessarily mean the strategy suddenly stopped working. The market conditions may have changed.
First, trending and ranging markets call for different decision-making logic.
In a clearly trending market, prices are more likely to continue moving in t
