𝐄𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐭 $𝟐,𝟑𝟒𝟔: 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤, 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝟒-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐢𝐧?
Ethereum is facing a technical tug-of-war. On October 28, 2026, ETH experienced a sharp 15-minute pullback, falling from $2,362.22 to $2,344.76 between 12:00 and 12:15 UTC. That was a 0.65% decline within the interval, with a reported price amplitude of 0.74%. The latest trading price provided for this analysis is $2,346, placing ETH close to the lower end of that short-term move.
Despite the sudden dip, ETH was still up 1.74% over 24 hours in the original report. This combination matters: the broader daily performance remained positive, but short-term sellers were strong enough to interrupt the recovery. My focus is not simply on the red candle. It is on whether buyers can defend nearby support, whether the order book reflects durable demand, and whether the higher timeframes begin confirming the rebound.

At $2,346, ETH is trading below the reported $2,354.38 price recorded after the initial pullback. The decline from $2,362.22 to $2,344.76 shows how quickly short-term momentum can change when liquidity is concentrated around a few price levels.
The 15-minute moving-average signals were bullish in the report, with ADX at 50.62. ADX, or Average Directional Index, measures trend strength rather than direction by itself. A reading of 50.62 suggests a strong short-term trend, but the bullish interpretation comes from the accompanying moving-average signals, not from ADX alone.
This creates an important distinction: a strong short-term recovery can still experience a sharp correction. Traders should watch whether ETH can reclaim $2,354.38 and then move toward $2,368.75. Holding above the latter level would provide better evidence that buyers are regaining control. Failure to recover these areas would suggest that the rebound remains vulnerable.

One of the most unusual details in the report is the imbalance in visible liquidity. Cumulative bid depth across the top five price levels was approximately $27,600, compared with only $4,800 in ask depth. That produces a bid-to-ask ratio of roughly 5.73:1.
At first glance, this looks strongly supportive for ETH. More visible buy orders than sell orders can provide a cushion against immediate selling pressure. However, order book depth is not the same as confirmed buying demand. Orders can be canceled, shifted, or consumed quickly, and a large bid does not guarantee that buyers will defend the level.
The report also identified a large buy order at $2,354.60, representing 63.9% of the bid side, while a sell order of 41.83 ETH at $2,355.40 was acting as nearby resistance. These figures point to concentrated liquidity rather than a uniformly strong market.
At the current reference price of $2,346, those reported orders sit above the market. They should therefore be treated as historical order book observations, not proof that the same liquidity remains in place now. The key question is whether bids persist as ETH approaches them or disappear before price reaches the level.

The 15-minute chart showed bullish moving-average signals, but the four-hour chart remained bearish, with ADX at 34.43. The one-hour and daily charts were neutral in the supplied report.
This disagreement is a reason to remain selective. The short-term chart may show improving momentum while the four-hour trend continues to favor sellers. A genuine recovery becomes more convincing when several timeframes begin pointing in the same direction.
For ETH, the first step is to stabilize above the current $2,346 reference. The next is to reclaim $2,354.38 and $2,368.75. A stronger move toward $2,388 resistance would matter more if it were supported by sustained buying and improving four-hour moving-average signals.
If the four-hour trend remains bearish and price repeatedly fails around the recovery levels, the current bounce could remain corrective rather than marking a broader trend reversal.
𝐎𝐧-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤
The report noted that 3,084 ETH had been transferred to a major exchange while some market participants were increasing positions using Aave borrowing. Liquidations were also occurring on both sides of the market.
An exchange transfer can increase potential sell-side risk, but it does not prove that the ETH has been sold. The funds could serve several purposes, so the transfer should be treated as a signal to monitor rather than evidence of an imminent dump.
Borrowed positions can amplify price movements in either direction. If ETH falls and leveraged long positions approach liquidation levels, forced selling may accelerate the decline. Conversely, a strong recovery can pressure short positions and contribute to a rapid upward move.
The report did not provide verified 24-hour trading volume, so it is not possible to establish whether the pullback was accompanied by an increase in volume. Volume recovery, liquidation patterns, and changes in visible liquidity are therefore important confirmation points.
𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐈’𝐦 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠
Support: $2,313.52
Current reference: $2,346
Recovery checkpoints: $2,354.38 and $2,368.75
Major nearby resistance: $2,388
Bullish scenario: ETH stabilizes, reclaims $2,368.75, and approaches $2,388 with stronger volume and improving four-hour momentum. That would strengthen the case for a more durable recovery.
Bearish scenario: ETH fails to regain the recovery checkpoints, visible bids weaken, and price moves toward $2,313.52. A decisive break of support would increase downside risk, particularly if leverage-related liquidations intensify.
My view is cautiously neutral to bearish until the four-hour chart improves. The 5.73:1 reported bid imbalance is interesting, but it cannot override the higher-timeframe weakness on its own. At $2,346, I would prioritize confirmation over chasing a quick bounce. If ETH reclaims resistance with stronger participation, the bullish case improves; if support breaks, capital protection becomes more important than predicting an immediate recovery.
Ethereum’s next move may be decided by the relationship between visible liquidity and actual buying pressure. A crowded order book can create opportunity, but it can also create a trap. The level matters, the reaction matters more, and confirmation matters most.
