BTC at $80K: Is This a Support Zone or Just a Pause Before Another Drop?
Bitcoin is sitting near a level where market sentiment can change quickly. After recent selling pressure, I’m not looking for a prediction based on one candle. I want to see whether buyers can reclaim resistance and prove that momentum is returning.
1. The levels I’m watching
Based on my October 26 chart:
Resistance 1: $81,800
Resistance 2: $84,180
First support: $77,020
Lower support zone: $75,700–$75,500
Major downside level: Around $73,000
These are chart-based levels, not guaranteed turning points, and should be checked against the latest price before trading.
2. What the momentum suggests
My chart shows RSI near 41, while MACD remains negative. That tells me momentum is still weak rather than confirming a strong bullish reversal.
An RSI below 50 does not automatically mean BTC must fall further. But until price starts reclaiming resistance with stronger momentum, I would be careful about assuming the bottom is in.
3. Two scenarios to watch
Bullish scenario: BTC holds above nearby support, reclaims $81,800, and then tests $84,180. A convincing breakout with follow-through would make the recovery more credible.
Bearish scenario: BTC fails to reclaim resistance and loses $77,020. That could bring the $75,700–$75,500 area into focus, with $73,000 as a deeper level to monitor.
4. My trading approach
I would rather wait for confirmation than enter simply because BTC looks cheap. I’m watching price structure, candle closes, and whether volume supports the move. If the setup is unclear, staying out is also a decision.
My take: The $80K area matters psychologically, but the real signal is how BTC behaves around support and resistance. A level alone is not a trade setup.
Question: Would you rather buy a confirmed reclaim above $81,800, or wait for BTC to test support first?
