Pi Network Confirms Protocol 28 Mainnet Upgrade Date + Clarifies Stablecoin Plans

The Pi Core Team recently clarified:
The mainnet will be upgraded to Protocol 28 on October 16, 2026 (nodes must complete the update by October 13). The upgrade will focus on optimizing transaction data processing latency, supporting batch smart contract upgrades, and improving the security of application data modifications.
It also clarified its stablecoin exploration: the team is researching supplementary uses for Open USD (OUSD) in scenarios such as rewards, payments, and settlements, while clearly maintaining PI as the network’s primary native asset. No specific launch date or reward rules have been announced yet.
PI is currently priced at approximately $0.082–0.083 (still over 97% below its historical high of approximately $2.99), with a market capitalization of around $930 million. The market’s response to the upgrade and ecosystem progress has been relatively muted.

You’ll be buried as soon as you enter; 90 billion is under the fourth brother’s centralized control.

First Review
If this were before, it would definitely have been crazy. Now, a lackluster response is normal; I don't have many expectations anymore.
